of Bexley, Kent

This is the last Will and Testament of me Amelia Palmer Storer of Bexley in the county of Kent Widow I direct that my just debts funeral and testamentary expences be paid out of the money (namely one hundred and fifty pounds) I have in the hands of Mr John Saxelby Cobb of Strood in the County of Kent Currier

I also direct that twenty pounds be paid to the aforesaid John Saxelby Cobb out of the money now in his hands in consideration of a shop front put to my house at Strood

The residue of the money in the hands of the aforesaid John Saxelby Cobb I give and bequeath unto the six following persons named herein to be divided amongst them in equal proportions viz.
the aforesaid John Saxelby Cobb
William Cobb of Strood Licensd Victualler
Charles Cobb of Strood Linen Draper
Frederick Freeman Cobb of Canterbury County of Kent Grocer
Mary Ann Ormond Wife of Mr Ormond of Ivy Lane City of London Dyer

and Mrs Storer Cobb of Strood aforesaid Widow

I give and bequeath unto William Steel Son of Elizabeth Steel of Bexley aforesaid Saddler sixty pounds if he shall live to attain the age of twenty one years
to Richard Steel another Son of the said Elizabeth Steel sixty pounds if he shall live to attain the age of twenty one years
To Ann Usborne Daughter of John Usborne of Market Lane Dover Tallow Chandler twenty pounds
To Ann Maelia May Thomas of Roysden Hall near Tonbridge County Kent twenty pounds
those legacies I direct to be paid out of the money I may have in the Funds at the time of my death

I give and bequeath to Edward James Fricker of Bexley aforesaid ten pounds
To John Saxelby Cobb aforesaid ten pounds
These last named legacies I direct to be paid out of the money I have in the hands of Mr John Saxelby of Bexley aforesaid Grocer

I give and bequeath all the Rest and Residue of any monies Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever which I may be possessed of or entitled to at the time of my decease to Elizabeth Steel of Bexley aforesaid and John Saxelby Cobb of Strood aforesaid their executors administrators and assigns for their own absolute use and benefit

And I nominate and appoint Edmund James Fricker of Bexley and John Saxelby Cobb of Strood aforesaid Executors of this my Will

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this ninth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight Amelia Palmer Storer
