In the name of God Amen the fourteenth day of May in the one and twentieth yeare of the raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles the second by the Grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland, King defender of the faither &c. Annoq dini 1669
I Roger Strivens of Oleivesend in the parish of St. Lawrence In the Isle of Thanett in the County of Kent Fisherman being Crasy in body but of Sound and perfect minde and memory (thancks be given to Almighty God for the same) considering ye uncertainty of this prsent life doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following
Imprimis I commend my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hopeing assuredly thorough the merits of Jesus Christ my Redeemer to live with him eternally after this my mortall life shall be ended And my body to the earth decently to be Interred at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named

Item I give and bequeath unto my Sonne John Strivens five shillings and to my three daughters Margaret, Agnes and Mildred Strivens twelve pence apeice to be paid unto them and every of them within one moneth next after my decease

Item I give unto my Sonne Henry Strivens all my Estate, right, title, Interest and benefit of renewing the lease which I have of in or unto the house wherein I now dwell with the Outhousinge land and Appurtenances thereunto belonginge scituate and being in the parish of St. Lawrence aforesaid
And I give unto him Righpresse and Table Standinge in (the) hall of the said house and all my bed and bedding whereon I usually lye with the bestedle and furniture to the same as it now stands furnished he paying and dischardging my debts legacies and funerall Chardges

Item I give unto Margaret my loveing wife All the rest of my moveable Goods and household stuffe not before given and bequeathed to my Children
And I give and devise unto her my said wife for and during the terme of her naturall life (If she keepe her selfe A widowe but not otherwise) All my messuage or tenem[en]t Outhouseing land and appurtencs [appurtenances] to the same belonging Scituate and being at or neare A place called Court Staires in the parish of St. Lawrence in the Isle and County aforesaid And now in the tenure or occupation of my said Sonne Henry Strivens or his assignes And she my said wife upholding and keeping the same in good repaire

And after the decease of my said wife or her intermarriage with an other man which shall first happen I give and devise the same unto my said Sonne Henry Strivens and to my Sonne Roger Strivens their heires and assignes for ever

And of this my last will and Testament I doe make and ordaine my said Sonne Henry Strivens sole Executor revokeing and disanulling all former wills by me made

In witnesse whereof I the said Roger Strivens to this my last will and Testament in two sheets of paper contained to the first sheete thereof my hand have set and to the second and last Sheet thereof my hand and Seal have set dated the day and yeare first above written

Roger Streven married Mildred May 14 Sep 1629 at St. Lawrence.
Margaret daughter of Roger Strevins was baptised 25 Nov 1632 at St. Laurence
Agnes daughter of Roger & Mildred Strevins was baptised 21 Apr 1639 at St. Laurence
Mildred daughter of Roger & Mildred Strevins was baptised 25 Jul 1641 at St. Laurence
John baptised 3 Jan 1630/1 & Roger bapt. 28 Dec 1634 both sons of Roger;
Henry bapt. 29 Dec 1644 son of Roger & Mildred; Roger bapt. 28 Jul 1647 son of Roger & Mildred.
Margaret Striven, age over 21 daughter of Roger, married Stephen Newnham, brewer 16 Jan 1657 at St. Laurence
A Roger Striven (not clear whether father or son) married Margaret Knowler at St. Lawrence 11 Dec 1660.
Margarett Streven, widow (of the Testator), was buried at St. Lawrence on 13 Nov 1680.
