Item I give and bequeath unto Robert Stringer my eldest son the sum of one hundred pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid unto him by my executor within twelve months next after my decease
Item I give and bequeath unto Stephen Stringer my Son the sum of one hundred pounds of like money to be paid unto him by my executor within twelve months next after my decease upon condition never the less that the said Stephen Stringer my son shall and do acquit and discharge my said executor of and from and obligations wherein my self and John Boulder of Sandwich are become bound with him the said Stephen and for his proper debt in the penal sum of two hundred pounds unto one George Hayward for the payment of one hundred pounds with interest and that he the said Stephen my son shall deliver up the said obligation to my said executor to be cancelled before the payment of this my legacy to him given otherwise the same not to be paid him anything herein mentioned notwithstanding
Item I give and bequeath unto my son in law John Wheeler the sum of five shillings to be paid to him by my Executor within one month after my decease
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Dorothy wife of Edward Gurney a gold Ring that was her mothers
Item I give unto Sarah my daughter wife of William Newman a gold Ring that was her mothers
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Anne Lister Widow during her life all that my messuages tenements the buildings placeyards? orchard and lands whatsoever thereunto belonging or appertaining containing by estimations four and twenty acres be there more or less with their appurtenances situated lying and being in the parish of Hearne in the County of Kent and now in the tenure or occupation of Francis Pilcher or his assigns and for and after her decease I give the same messuage lands & premises unto Susanne Lister daughter of the said Anne during her life and after her decease I give the same messuage lands and premises unto Martha Lister and Dorothy Lister two other daughters of the said Anne and their heirs & assigns for ever
Item as for all other my goods movables Stock in Crop and personal estate
whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath the same unto the said Edward
Gurney and William Neame (Newman?) my sons in law they paying my debts
funeral expenses and legacies according to the true meaning of this my will
and I do hereby make the said Edward and William joint executors of this my
last will & testament and hereby renounce all former wills by me made In
witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first
above written William Stringer signed sealed published and declared by the
said William Stringer to be his last will and testament in the Presence of
Daniell Sawyer his mark Anthony Pilcher his mark and Edward Taylor notepublic
