In the name of God Amen I William Stroud of Wye in the Countie of Kent, Husbandman being infirme in bodie, but of good and perfect memorie (Praised be God therefore) on the eighteenth day of October in the yeare of our Lord one thousand sixe hundred fiftie sixe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme Following
First I commit my Soule into the hands of Allmightie God my maker and Redeemer by whose mere mercie and goodness I assuredly hope for and expect Eternall life And my bodie I commit to the earth of which it was made to be decently buried according to the discretion of my Executor hereafter named And for the disposicon of my moveable goods; I will, give and bequeath as followeth

Item I give unto Richard Stroud my sonne my great Joyned chest, two paire of sheets, one brasse kettle without a bale and one krewett
Item I give unto Michaell Stroud my sonne my bed and bedsteddle furnished whereon I usually doe lye and Two paire of sheets
Item I give unto Catharine Fisher my grandchild one presse Cupboard

And for the disposicon of my Lands, I will give and bequeath as Followeth

Item I give unto William Stroud my sonne and his heirs forever All those my Tenement and Lands in Wye upon these condicons Following, Vizt:
My said sonne William paying unto John Stroud my sonne tenn pounds of lawfull English money within one whole yeare after my decease And also five pounds of like money unto my said sonne John which I stand bound to pay

Item I give unto Thomas my sonne Tenn pounds of like lawfull money To be paid by my executor hereafter named within two yeares after my decease
Item I give unto Henry Stroud my sonne Tenne pounds of like lawfull money to be paid by my executor hereafter named within three yeares after my decease
Item I give unto Stephen Stroud my sonne tenn pounds of like lawfull money to be paid by my executor hereafter named within foure yeares after my decease
Item I give unto Richard Stroud my sonne tenn pounds of like lawfull money to be paid by my executors hereafter named within five yeares after my decease
Item I give unto Michaell Stroud my sonne tenn pounds of like lawfull money to be paid by my executor hereafter named within six yeares after my decease

Item I give unto Thomas Fisher my grandchilde Fiftie Shillings of like lawfull money to be paid unto him by my executor hereafter named when he shall come to the age of one and Twentie yeares
Item I give unto Catherine Fisher my grandchilde Fiftie Shillings of like lawfull money to be paid unto her by my executor hereafter named when she shall come to the age of one and Twentie yeares

All which said Legacies I will shalbe paid out of my foresaid Lands
And in case All or any of my said Legacies be unpaid upon the severall dayes of payment aforesaid, Then I will that he, she or they unpaid enter upon my said land till they be satisfied and paid

The remainder of my s[ai]d lands in Wye of Elsewhere in the Countie of Kent and moveable goods whatsoever unbequeathed I give and bequeath unto William Stroud my sonne whom I make Executor of this my last will and testament

And in testimonie hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale, Dated the day and yeare first above written

William Pantrye Oct. One thousand six hundred Fiftie six - The marke of Edward Willes

This Will was Proved at London before the Judges for Probate of wills and granting Administracons lawfully authorized the five and Twentieth day of Aprill In the yeare of our Lord God one Thousand six hundred Fiftie seaven by the oath of William Stroud the naturall and Lawfull sonne of the said of the said deceased and sole executor named in the said will, To whome Administracon of all and singular the goods, Chattells and debts of the said deceased was granted and comitted, He being first sworne by virtue of A Commission issued forth in that behalfe, well and truely to administer the same
