This is the last Will and Testament of me Rachael Stroud of the Parish of Saint Paul, Deptford in the County of Kent, Widow of John Stroud deceased
I direct my body may be interred by Mr. Thomas Baker Knott of High Street, Deptford, Undertaker in the same Vault and in the same manner as near as may be as the body of my said late Husband was buried
I also direct that all my just Debts which I may owe at the time of my decease shall be paid and subject thereto and to my funeral and testamentary expences

I give and bequeath unto my good friend William Francis of Saint Nicholas, Deptford in the said County of Kent, Victualler All and singular my Estate and Effects of what nature or kind the same may be or consist of at the time of my decease
In Trust nevertheless unto and for his Daughter Elizabeth Francis

And my will and meaning is that the said William Francis shall have full power and authority to apply all or any part of my estate and effects or any interest or dividends which may arise therefrom unto and for the support or advancement in life of his said daughter in such way or manner as he shall think most convenient to her welfare
Provided always nevertheless that in case the said Elizabeth Francis shall marry without the consent of her said Father then from and immediately after such marriage I give and bequeath my said estate and effects or such part thereof as shall be then remaining unto the said William Francis unto and for his own use and benefit

And I hereby authorise and empower the said William Francis to make sale and dispose of all or any part of my said Estate and Effects either by Public Auction or Private sale And I do declare that her receipt and receipts for any monies which he may receive under or by virtue of this my will shall be a good and sufficient discharge and good and sufficient discharges to the person or persons buying the same
And that any purchaser or purchasers of any part of my Estate and Effects and all other persons who shall pay any monies to the said William Francis under this my Will and who shall take such receipt or receipts shall not be bound to see to the application of such monies nor be answerable or accountable for any misapplication or nonapplication thereof

I hereby appoint the said William Francis sole Executor of this my Will and hereby revoking all former Wills by me made I do declare this only to be and contain my last Will and Testament
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this tenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one

Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said Rachael Stroud the said Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto

Proved at London the 9th January 1833 before the Worshipful Jesse Addams, Doctor of Laws & Surrogate by the Oath of William Francis the sole Executor to whom adm[inistrati]on was granted having been first sworn duly to administer
