Will of Nicholas Stubbersfield

of Keston, Kent

In the Name of God Amen I Nicholas Stubbersfield of the Parish of Keston in the County of Kent being of sound mind and memory do hereby make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following viz

First I desire that my body may be decently interred
And after payment of all my just debts Funeral and testamentary expences I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Sarah Stubbersfield the Interest of all my funded Property now vested in the Bank of England together with the use of all my Household furniture Linen Plate China and Wearing Apparel during her life

and at her decease I direct my said Household furniture Linen Plate China to be equally divided between my then Surviving Children and that my funded property be disposed of as follows
I give to my Sons Nicholas and William and to my Daughters Lucy and Eliza Stubbersfield One hundred Pounds each
I give to my Grandson Nicholas Stubbersfield ten Pounds
to my other Grandchildren viz William Sarah Lucy Eliza Mary and Rosamond Stubbersfield all children of my said Son Nicholas Stubbersfield five pounds each

All the rest and residue of my property whatsoever I leave to my Eldest Son Nicholas Stubbersfield
But should my funded property at my decease prove unequal to the payment of all the above legacies in full I then direct that the deficiency be deducted from my children�s legacies and not from that of my Grandchildren
And in case of the demise of either of my children unmarried prior to the decease of my said Wife I direct that his or her legacy to be divided equally among all the Survivors and in the event of the death of my said Son Nicholas as aforesaid that his legacy and all residuary claims to which he would have been entitled be for the benefit of his Wife (ie the Interest thereof during her life) and at her decease to be divided equally among her Surviving children

I hereby appoint my Son Nicholas Stubbersfield together with Thomas Bartlett Master of the free School Dulwich in the County of Surry Executors of this my Will
And I further direct that all reasonable and necessary expences incurred by them in the execution of the same be defrayed out of my said funded property previous to the disposal of any part thereof
