In the Name of God Amen The xvjth day of the moneth of Maij (in) the yere of owre Lord God a cccccxvij [1517]
I Vincent Stud owre the p[a]ryshe of Hern beyng (of) whole mynd And of good memorye, make and ordeyne this my pnt [present] testament in this Wyse
First I bequiethe my soule to Allmighty (God) to owre blessed Lady Saynt Mary And to all the holye company of hevyn And my bodye to be buried in the Churche yeard of Hern Aforeseid

Item I bequethe to the high Awtre [Altar] of the same Churche A iij s
Item I Will that myn Executors for my tythes And offennces forgoten xij d
Item I will that myn Executors shall bestowe for the helth of my soule, for the soules of my father and mother; And of all cristen soules at my forthfare in mass, dirige And other Dedys of Charity xiijs iiijd [13s 4d]
Item at my moneths mynde xxs
Item I will that an honest priest shall syng in the Churche of Hern at my yeresmynde other xxs
Item I will that an honest priest shall syng in the Churche of Hern fore the soule of Hewgh Davy for as long space as his Salary shall Amownt to the S[u]m of xxtie [20s]

Item I Bequieth to Johan my Wyff all my houshold stuff, A Cowe at her Choise & ij quarters of whete
Item I Will that Thomas my Sone pay unto the said Johan my Wyff at Mighelmas next commynge a xs

The Whiche Thomas I make and ordeng [ordain] myn Executor of this my pnt [present] testament
And Wyllim at Ure? myn Oversear that this my pnt testament fully fullfillyd

This is the last Will of me the seid Vincent Stud made the day and yere Aboveseid and in the ixth yere of the Reigne of Kying the viijth [Henry the Eighth] of all my landys and Tenets [Tenements] the whiche I have I have in the pryshe of Hern or of any where els(e) within in the Counte of Kent

First I will that Thomas my Son shalhave my Tene't wtaft my seid Landys to hym and to his heyers under the condicon folowyng (that is to say)
I Will that the seid Thomas my Son shall pay or cause to be payd to Johan my Wyffe xij [13s] iiijd every yere after my decease for the terme of here [her] lyff quarterly to be paid
And also I Will that the seid Thomas my Son shalpay to Vincent Stud my Sone iiij li [£4] the whiche money I will shalbe paid informe folowyng (that is to say)
The seid Thomas shall pay yn to the seid Vincent At the Feast of Crystmass next commyng xl tie [40s]
And after the decease of the seid Johan my Wyffe other xl tie [40s]
And also that the seid Thomas my Son shall pay to Alis my daughter vjs viijd

p[ro]vyded allway that yf any deffaute [default] of payment Ex done by the said Thomas myne Executor in any of the pr[o]miss in my Will conteyned Then I will it shalbe lafull for any of them to Dissese in the seid landys unto till the drerayth thereof be fully contenting and paid
