Notes
Margery was of Ewell and requested she be buried in the churchyard. She died between March 28th and June 13th 1526.
Her will provides few familial details: Margery was a widow and mentions her daughter Alice, who was bequeathed Margerys best gown; there is no indication as to whether Alice was single and this is rather too early to hope to locate her marriage. A search for the death of an Alice SUTTON in Kent was unsuccessful in the period to 1565.
An Alis SUTTON of Canterbury left a will in 1556. Robert SUTTON of Hawkinge, son of Giles SUTTON, baptised a daughter Alice in 1561 and she was buried in 1563, both at Hawkinge.

The will of Roger SUTTON of Hawkinge, proved 1529, was written in 1518 and refers to his wife Margery and two children born after 1500. Ewell - also known as Temple Ewell - is 3 miles west of Dover (Hasted) and around 5 miles from Hawkinge. Ewell Minnis is under 4 miles from Hawkinge. No other SUTTON wills are recorded at Ewell in the period 1400-1700 so it would seem likely that Margery (1526) was not part of another SUTTON family based there. However the details from the will of Margery above offer no evidence to suggest that she was the widow of Roger SUTTON.
