In the name of God Amen The ninthe daye of Januarye in the yere of or Lorde a thowsand fyve hundrethe seaventye one
I William Sweetinge parson of St. Georges within the cittye of Cannterburye beinge hole of bodye and Sowle and in perfett remembrannce make this my testamente and laste will in mannr and forme folowinge
Fyrste I bequeathe my sowle into the hands of our heavenly father by The merytts and deathe and passion and blode shedinge of our Saviour Jesu Christe, my bodye to be buryed at the dyscression of them that shall have to do with all,

Fyrste I bequeathe To my wyfe Katheryne, and to my sonne John the yonnger of her bodye begotten, all my goods and debtes whatsoever they be in equall portions

to this Will I make John Sweetinge the yonnger my sole executor
And William Sweetinge my sonne overseer of this my Will, and he to have for his paynes tuelve pence

Also I bequeathe to Leonarde Sweetinge foure pence;
To Barbra? Sweetinge foure pence;
to Alce Sweetinge foure pence;
to David Sweetinge foure pence;
To Albert Brygys [Bridges] foure pence;
To Agneis Bedell foure pence;
To Margaret Bodell foure pence;
to William Bedell foure pence;
To Myldred Bedell foure pence;
To John Brygys foure pence;
To Henrye Brygys foure pence;
to Alce Slapp foure pence;
to Joanne Slapp foure pence;

All the reste of my goods I geve to Katheryne my wyfe and To my sonne John Sweetinge the yonnger

Probatum fuit: 28th May 1575

Notes:
William Sweeting was buried 3 May 1574 at St. George the Martyr, Canterbury, Kent.
William Sweetinge married Catlyn Mathew 10 Aug 1563 at St. George, Canterbury.
No idea why the probatum was delayed a year after his death – but it definitely says ‘quinto’ (i.e. 5) at the end of the probatum year.
