In the Name of God Amen
I William Swift of now living at Kings Borough in the Parish of East Church in the Isle of Sheppy [Sheppey] in the County of Kent being of sound mind and memory do make this my last Will and Testament

I desire to be buried with as little expence as possible and after my just debts are paid I desire the property belonging to me at my decease should be equally divded between my Son Thomas Swift and my Daughter Sarah now the Wife of Mr. James Mantle Farmer share and share alike

and should the Court of Chancery serve up that the Estates in the Parishes of Leysdown and East Church in the Isle of Sheppy in the County of Kent or elsewhere late the property of my Brother Thomas Swift deceased by such reason belong to my Brother John Swift Esquire of Borstal Hal in the Parish of Minster and myself William Swift now residing at Kings Borough in the Parish of East Church in the Isle of Sheppy
then it is my Will and pleasure that such estates or part thereof which shall belong to me by reversion shall be equally divided as my other property namely between my Son Thomas Swift and my Daughter Sarah now the Wife of Mr. James Mantle Farmer in the Isle of Sheppy share and share alike

save and except one hundred pounds of lawful money to be paid by my Executors to Frances Ann the wife of Baldwin Richard Duppa Howe now living in the Parish of Minster in the Isle of Sheppy in twelve Months after the Court of Chancery shall have decided the said estates or part thereof to belong to me

And I do appoint and declare my Nephew Edward Swift of Minster in the Isle of Sheppy Son of John Swift Esquire or Borstal Hall one of my Executors and my Nephew William B Swift Attorney now living in London also Son of John Swift Esquire or Borstal Hall the other Executor to this my last Will and Testament

Dated at Kings Borough this fifth day of December 1831 Subscribed with my Hand and Seal

Proved at London the 18th March 1832 before the Judge by the Oath of Edward Swift the Nephew one of the Executors to whom admon. was granted having been first sworn by Commission duly to administer. Power reserved of making the like grant to William Burgess Swift the Nephew also the other Executor when he shall apply for the same
