Also I bequeth to the high auter for my tithes and oblacons necligently forgoten iijs iiijd
Also I bequeth to evry light in the said Church xijd
Also I bequeth to John Austen the sonne of John Austen my godson vjs viijd
Also I bequeth to all my other godsonnes and goddaughters to every of them xxd
Also I bequeth to the makinge of a new Vestery within the churchyarde of Essheford where it shalbe thought most necessary vjL [£6]

Also I bequeth to the mendinge of highweyes butwene Essheford aforesaid and Kyngesnoth xxjL [£21] to be bestowed by the discrecon of Henry Essheherst [Ashurst], John Pyx and Richard Thorneton of Kyngesnoth aforesaid att certeyn places where it shalbe thought most nedefull by them the which xxjL is in the handes of Sir John Fogge knyght
Also I bequethe to the beyinge of a newe Sensur for the church of Assheford aforesaid xls

Also I bequethe to an honest prest one Sir William of Holingborn yf he will singe for my soule vj yeres xlL [£40]
And yf he refuse I will the said money to be bestowed to som other honest prest to singe for my soule and all xpen [Christian] soules by the said space

Also I bequeth to John Austen my Russet gowne furred wt Fox
Also I bequeth to my brother William Pemyll my violet gowne furred wt blak lambe
Also I bequeth to Mark Hand my russet gowne furred wt blak lambe

The residue of all my goods and Cattall not gevyn nor bequeth my detts and my bequeths paide, I geve and bequeth to Margery my wyfe, John Austen and Robert Easteley the which Margery, John and Robert I make and ordeyn myne executours that they ordeyn and dispoase them for the helth of my soule and all xpen soules

And Richard Wodeward to be my Overseer of this my last Will and testament to the which Richard I bequeth for his labour iiij marks and to every of the said John Austen and Robert Easheley xls

This is the last wille of me the said John Symonde made the day and yere abovesaid
Upon a feoffement made to Richard Foule, Stephyn Roger, Augustyne Lynch, Robert Ham, John Lyncrok and William a Fryght my Feoffees

I will that my said Feoffees suffer Margery my wyfe to take the issues and profits of my lands & tenements in the Countie of Kent for terme of her lyfe,
except my tent. Mark Ham dwelleth in and a garden thereto adjoyngnge which I will my said Feoffees Immediatly after my decesse shall enfeoffe the said Mark Ham of and in the said tenement and gardyn with thappurtenncs to have to him his heires and assignes for ever
except also all my lands lyinge and being in the pisshe [parish] of Newechurch in Rumney Mershe, the which landes I will that my said feoffees Immediately after my decesse shall enfeffe one James Rene of and in the said landes wth thappurtenncs to have to him his heires and assignes forever
except also all my landes lyinge and being in the pisshe of Burmarshe in Rumney Mershe the which landes wth thappurtenncs I will that my said feoffees Immediatly after my decesse shall infeffe Augustyne Lynche of and in the said landes wth thappurtenncs to have to him his heires and assignes forever

except also my ten'ts and landes lyinge at Great Chart the whiche I will that my said feoffees immediatly after my decesse shall grante to William Ham of and in the said tents. and lands wth thappurtenncs to have to him and to his assignes for terme of his life
And after the decesse of the said William I will my said feoffees shall infeffe William Ham his sonne of and in the said tenement and Lands wth thappurtenncs To have to him his heires and assignes for ever

except also my tenement the which I bought of Thomas Chapman the whiche is Copyeholde in the said towne of Essheford that I will that Richard Tracy of Wye take it accordinge to the custome of the maner to have to him and his assignes forever
Except also all my londs in Kenyngton the which I will that my said feoffees shall enfeffe Immediately after my decesse one Richard Wodeward of and in the said lands wth thappurtenncs to have to him his aassignes forever Under this condicon that the said Richard his heires executours or assinges paye or cause to be paid to one Thomas Bere xx ... of lawfull money of England

Except also the landes which I bought of Symon Mannynge of Mersham the which lands I will that myn executours Immediatly after my decesse sell them at the best price they can and my feoffes to deliver astate accordinge and the money thereof comyinge I will shalbe bestowed in the pavynge of the Towne of Essheford aforesaid by the discrecon of my executours and overseers
Except also all the lands the which I bought of Petir Bellinge of Mersham lyinge in Mersham the which landes I that the said Petir bye them of my said executors for ixL [£9] yf he woll so geve for it yf not I will the sayd lands be sold to some other p'sone that moost will geve for it by myn executours and the money thereof comyng I will that other landes be bought therwt the which landes be bought I will the issues and profits goe to the mayntenance and kepinge of the Crosse light in the church of Essheford aforesaid forever

Except also all my lands in Wodechurch which Preston holdeth in terme the which landes I will that the said Preston bye them of my executours for xvjL [£16] yf he will soe geve for it yf not I will the said lands be solde to some other p'sone that moost will geve for it by myn executours and the money comyinge thereof I will that other landes be bought therwt the which landes so bought I will the issues and profits goe to the mayntenance and kepyng of the Crosse light abovesaid
Except also my lands at Rokys hille the which landes I will my said feoffees Immediatly after my decesse shall infeffe Harry Hamon of and in the said londes wt thappurtencs to have to him his heires and assignes forever

Except all my landes lyinge at Snoth Hill in Betherysden the whiche landes I that Stephyn Chapman of Bethersden bey theym of myn executours for vL [£5] to be payd to myn executors in fyve yeres immediatly after my decesse yf he will so geve for it or ells his heires yf they will so geve for it If not I will the said Landes be sold to some other p'sone that most will geve for it by myn executours and the money thereof comyeng to be dispoased by the discrecon of my said executours in fulfillinge of my testament
Except also my tenement whiche my brother Penyll dwellith in the which tent. wt thappurtencs I will my feffees deliver astate to my said brother William Penyll To have to him and his heires for ever
And also I will to the said William all the copye holde lands to the said house belonginge

Also I will that myn Annuytie of xxs by yere the whiche I have out of certeyn landes in Wodechurche of John Clerk I will that the said John Clerk yf his executours or assignes paye or cause to be paide to my said executours xxL [£20] wtin a yere next after my decesse, then my said feffees to make or cause to be made to the said John Clerk a sure and a sufficient discharge for the same as shalbe thought necessary for the same and the money thereof comyng I will that other landes be bought therwt the whiche landes so bought I wille th'issues and profits thereof goe to the maynntennce and kepinge of the Crosse light aforsaid

Also I wille that after the decesse of Margery my wyfe that my said feoffees shall infeffe Richard Pemyll my brothers sonne of and in my tent. the whiche I now dwell in wt thappurtencs To have to him his heires and assignes for ever wt the Copie holde lands there belonginge
Also I will to the said Richard Pemyll immediatly after my decease x marcs worth of Wollen Cloth out of my shop
Also I will that after decesse of my wife my said feffees shall infeffe the said Richard Penyll of and in a peece of land lyinge next the upper west toward the north and east to have to him and his heyres for ever And also of and in all my medowe in East mede to have to him his heires and assignes forever

Also I will that after the decesse of my said wyfe my said feoffees shall deliver astate of and in my landes in Mereworth to Thomas Asten of Tywell in the p'isshe of Gowdeherst [Goudhurst] to have to him his heires and assignes forever
Also I wille that after the decesse of my said wife my said feffees shall deliver astate of and in my lands in Tentyrden [Tenterden] with thappurten'nces to Percyvall Asten brother to the forsaid Thomas Asten To have to him and his heires for ever
Also I will that my said feffees after the decesse of my said wyfe deliver astate of and in a tente. and certeyn Landes in Betherysden which I bought of Hugh Hope and Robert Borman to the said Parcyvall Asten To have to him his heires and assignes forever

Also I will that all my landes in Challok [Challock] after the decesse of my said wyfe be solde by myn executours and the money thereof comyinge to be dispoased by my said executours
Also I will that my Landes in Charryng [Charing] the which Willm Pemyll hath in terme shalbe solde after the decesse of my said wife by myne executours to the said William Pemyll gevinge for it as another man will geve or ells to some other man And the money thereof comyinge to be dispoased by the discrecon of my said executours to fulfill my said testament
Also I will that my lands at Charrynge the whiche one Doule now hath to ferme after the decesse of my said wyfe shalbe solde by myn executours to the said Doule yf he will geve as much as another will geve for it either ells to som other man and the money thereof conyng to be dispoased of by my execuours as aforsaid

Also I will that my feffees immediatly after my decesse shall infeffe Petyr Best for x L [£10] by dede indentyd of renter to be made prty best of and in my Messuage and Lands lyinge att Broke to have to him his heires and asignes forever Under this condicon in the said dede of re-entrie that if the said Petyr his heirs executours or assigne pay or cause to be paide to my said executours xL in maner and fourme folowinge (that is to sey) xxvs and soe every mighelmas [Michaelmas] xxvs unto the summe of xL be fully content and paide that then the said astate to be good either ells to be voide

Also I will after the decease of my said wife my said feffees to make astate to Willm Pemyll my brother of and in a tent. that Gryffyne Drake nowe dwellith in wt thappaurtenncs to have to him his heires and assignes forever
Also I will that all my copye holde lande to the said tenement belonginge to the said William Pemyll to have accordinge after the custome of the maner
Also I will after decease of my said wife my said feffees deliuer astate to the said William Pemyll of and in a peece of lande conteyninge by estimacion an acre of lande lying besides the Vicarage of Essheford forsaid towarde the East to have to him his heires and assignes forever

Also I will after the decesse of my said wyfe my feffees shall infeffe William Hamme of Hethe [Hythe] of and in my tent. with thappurtenccs the which John Harman nowe dwelleth in to have to him his heires and assignes forever payinge thereof to Robert Ham and Harry Ham his brethern x mrcs [10 marks] in maner and fourme folowinge (that is to sey) To Robert Ham and to his executours or assignes v mrcs and to Harry Ham and to his executours or assignes v mrcs to be paide to the said Robert and Harry their executours or assignes in fyve yeres next after the decesse of my said wyfe

Also I will after the decesse of my said wyfe my feffees shall deliver to Roger Baker my seruant astate of and in a tent. wt thappurtencs the which John Ilberd? now dwellith in to have to him his heires and assignes forever
Also I will to the said Roger my Copie holde landes to the said tents. belonginge to have accordinge to the custome of the maner
Also I will that my two houses the which Harry Hammon and Thomas Norman nowe dwelleth in shalbe solde by my wyfe and John Austen and the money thereof comynge to be dispoased by the discrecon of the said my wyfe and John Austen
Also I will that thre yards of medowe in Westmede be solde by my said wyfe and John Austen to William Pemyll my brother at suche price as they can agree either ells to some other man and the money thereof comyinge to be bestowed by the discrecon of my said wyfe and John Austen

Also I will that my two shoppes at the Churche Style to be solde by my said wyfe and John Austen and the money to be bestowed by their discrecon as is aforesaid
