In the name of god amen.
I Robert Tapley of the parish of Harrietsham in the county of Kent yeoman being weak in the body but of sound mind and memory, praise be to almighty god for the same, do therefore make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following that this is to say;
First and principally I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping through the Merits Death and passion of our Lord? Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and to inherit everlasting life My Body I commit to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors herein after named
and as touching the disposition of all my temporal estate I give and dispose of as followeth;
Imprimis I will that my debts and funeral charges shall be paid and discharged.

Item I give and devise All that my Messuage or Tenement wherein I now live with Barn Stable Outhouses Edifices and Buildings Lands ...? and Appurtenances thereunto belonging and also I give and bequeath All that my messuage? or Tenement with the Barn Stable Outhouses Edifices and Buildings Lands and Premises ....? and Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate lying and being in the parishes of Harrietsham aforesaid and Ulcombe in the county of Kent as aforesaid and now in tenure or Occupation of John Scrope? or his assigns unto my kinsman John Tapley son of John Tapley of Hollingbourne in the county aforesaid Blacksmith for and during the term of his natural life
and after his decease Then to the heirs male of his body lawfully to be begotten the Eldest always to be preferred before the younger

and for want of such Issue? then to James Tapley his brother for and during the term of his natural life and after his decease the the heirs males of his body lawfully to be begotten the eldest always to be preferred before the younger
and for want of such issue Then to Robert Tapley his brother for and during the term of his natural life and after his decease to the heirs of his body lawfully to be begotten the eldest always to be preferred before the younger
and for want of such issue then to the Right heirs and Assigns of me the said Robert Tapley forever.

Item I give and bequeath all that my farm called Hovendens with the Messuages or Tenemenets Lands ?? and appurtenances thereunto belonging situate lying and being in the parishes of Harrietsham and Lenham in the aforesaid and now in the tenure or occupation of Peter Crouthar or his Assigns unto Robert Tapley of Harrietsham in the County aforesaid to him and his heirs forever
and if it shall happen the said Robert Tapley should die without heirs then my will is that it shall return to his father John Tapley and his heirs forever

Item I give unto the aforesaid Robert Tapley son of John Tapley all messuage or tenement with his Barn Stable Outhouses and buildings Lands ?? and appurtenances thereunto belonging situate lying in Lenham and now in the tenure or occupation of Nicholas Carter or his Assigns to him his heirs forever and after his decease then to his Mother Mary Tapley the now wife of John Tapley of Harrietsham in the county aforesaid
and if it shall happen that the said John Tapley should be without male issue that then my will is it shall return to Robert Tapley the eldest son of John Tapley forever.

Item I give and bequeath unto my sister Marian Tapley widow ..... the term of her natural life the sum of forty shillings a year to be paid quarterly.
Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Tapley the sum of five shillings within 3 months after my decease.
Item I give unto Margaret the wife of Thomas Grigsbe the sum of five shillings and also her husband Thomas Grigsbe the sum of one shilling to be paid by my executors within three months after my decease.

Item I Give unto Frances Tapley that was her maiden name and her husband not knowing his name the sum of five pounds of lawful money to be paid within twelve months after my decease.
Item I give unto Robert Tapley of Oare in the county aforesaid the sum of one shilling within three months after my decease
Item I give and bequeath unto John Tapley the Elder of Hollingbourne in the county aforesaid the sum of five pounds a year per Annum during the term of his natural life

Item I give and bequeath unto the six youngest sons and daughters of the aforesaid John Tapley the Elder which are now living at their several and respective ages of one and twenty years the sum of ?? shillings ?? for the payment which said several sums I likewise bind my aforesaid farm in ULCOMBE aforesaid and Harrietsham aforesaid.
And further that I shall so happen if the said Robert Tapley for want of heirs it shall return to John Tapley and his heirs males forever.

Lastly all the rest and residue of my personal Estate Mortgages Debts and bonds Ready money Goods & Chattels whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath unto my aforesaid kinsman John Tapley son of John Tapley of Hollingbourne aforesaid whom with John Hunt of Harrietsham father of the aforesaid John Tapley's wife I do hereby make nominate and appoint full and whole executors of this my last will and testament

And I do hereby revoke disdain will and make void all former Wills and Testaments by me heretofore made either by word of mouth or in writing
In witness where I the said Robert Tapley to this my Last Will & testam contained in three sheets of paper have set my hand? to each sheet and seal to the last the twenty ninth day of September in the year of our Lord God Seventeen Hundred and Fourteen Robert Tapley
signed Sealed published and declared by the Testator to be his last will and testament in the presence of us whose Names hereunto subscribed with ??? in the ???? of the said testator
