Imprimis I give and bequeath unto Mary my loveing wife All that my messuage or tenement and premises with the backside and appurtenances to the same belonging situate lying & being in Cranbrooke aforesaid & now in my own occupation To have and to hold the said messuage or tenement or premises unto the said Mary my loveing wife and her assignes for and dureing the terme of her naturall life
and from and after her decease Then as to for touching and concerning one moiety or halfe part of the said messuage or tenement and premises I give and bequeath the same unto Henry Palmer son of Henry Palmer of Hasting in the County of Sussex Cordwayner my bro�s daughters son To have and to hold the said moiety or halfe part of the said messuage or tenement & premises unto the said Henry palmer the son his heirs & assignes for ever
And as touching and concerning the other moiety or halfe part of the said messuage lands and premises I give and bequeath the same unto John Coleman son of John Coleman of Cranbrooke aforesaid Clothworker To have and to hold the said other moiety or halfe part of the said messuage or tenement and premises unto the said John Coleman the son his heirs & assignes for ever.
Item all my goods chattells & personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath unto Mary my said loveing wife & her assignes and of this my last will and testament I make and ordaine the said Mary my loveing wife full and sole Executrix

Bee it known unto all men by these presents that whereas I John Tomsett of Cranbrooke in the county of Kent Cordwayner have made & declared this my last will & testament in writeing beareing date the eighth day of Aprill now last past and for severall reasons me the said John Tomsett thereunto moveing I the said John Tomsett doe hereby declare my mind & will to bee & I doe hereby give & devise unto my loveing wife Mary her Executors adm�rs & assignes full power & authority to mortgage the messuage or tenement and premises in my said will hereunto annexed mentioned for the sume of ten pounds as soon as conveniently she & they can after my decease
& my mind & will is that Henry Palmer and John Coleman to whom my said will I have in the revertion of the said messuage and premises after my said wifes decease shall have noe advantage of my said will untill they or some for them have paid and discharged the said mortgage equally between them share & share alike
and? anything in my said will which I hereby ratify & confirme (except before mentioned) conteyned to the contrary And my mind & will is that this Codicil or Schedule bee & bee adjudged to bee part of my said will and performed as such
