In the name of god amen the second day of December in the yeare of our lord god a thousand five hundred fowerscore and fifteen (1595)
I Anne Tonge of Tunstall whole in bodye and in perfect remembrannce thanks be given to god make this my present last Will and testament in manner and forme followinge
First I give my soule to Allmighty god & my only hope is to be saved by and through the merritts of Christs passion and my body to be buried in Tunstall church

Item I give to the poore peopell in charitable almes three shillings

Item I give to either of my daughters Joane, Mary, Elizabeth and Susan, two Angells And all my apparel which I usually weare equally to be divided between them.

Item I give to my sonne Nicholas twenty pounds.
Item I give to my son John my best coverlet and fower angelles.

Item I give to my fower sonnes James, William, Richard and Nicholas all my household stuffe equally to be devided between them.

Item I give to my maide Barbara Reader twenty shillings.
All which legacies aforesaid I will shall be paid within two yeares next after my decease.

All the rest of my goods and chattels unbequeathed I give to my sonne James Tonge toward the payment of my debts and legacies which said James I make my sole and only executrix of this my last will and testament

In witness whereof I the said Anne have putte my hande dated the day & yeare abovesaid
