I doe gyve & bequeath to my sonne John Tookey and his heires for ever my thirteene acres of land lyeing and being partly in Snave and
partly in Brensett in the County abovesaid when he shall accomplish the age of twenty one yeares
Likewise I geve and bequeath to my sonne John Tookey and his heires for ever my fower acres (whether thereof their be more or lesse) lyeing and
being in Hope All Saints and Newe Rumney aforesaid comonly called by the name of the Grigses when he shall accomplish the age of one and
twenty yeares as is abovesaid
Likewise I doe give and bequeath further to my sonne John Tookey and his heires for ever my dwelling house, barne and closes with the appurten[a]ncs
thereof lyeing and being in Newe Rumney aforesaid when he shall accomplish the age of one and twenty yeares as aforesaid
Item I doe give and bequeath to my sonne John Tookey and his heires for ever my annuity of Five pounds the yeare issueing out of the Lands of Peter Short of Tenterden in the County aforesaid gentl[eman] Scituate lyeing and being in Wye in the County aforesaid at his age of Twenty one yeares as afore menconed
And I doe further five and bequeath to my daughter Deborah Tookey three hundred pounds of lawfull English money to be paid by my sonne John out of the Lands and tenements above to him bequeathed in manner & forme followeing (that is to say) One hundred and fifty pounds when she shall accomplish the age of Eighteene yeares, and one hundred and fifty pounds more after the decease of Jane Tookey my wiefe
And if it shall happen my said sonne John Tookey to depart this naturall liefe before he accomplish
the age of twenty one yeares not haveing issue lawfully begotten, That then my will and minde is that
my aforesaid daughter Deborah Tookey and her heires shall have and enjoy all my lands and
tenements above bequeathed unto my said sonne John Tookey
and further if my said sonne and daughter John and Deborah Tookey shall decease without issue lawfully begotten; And the said
John Tookey shall decease before his age of Twenty one yeares above menconed, and the said
Deborah before her age of eighteene yeares; Then my will and minde is my said lands and tenements
above mentioned shall discend remayne and be to Jane Tookey my wiefe aforesaid and her heires for ever
In like manner I give and bequeath to Jane Tookey my wiefe my fowertene acres of land lyeing and being in Newe Rumney aforesaid dureing her
naturall liefe and after her decease the said Fowerteen acres to discend remayne and be to my sonne John Tookey and his heires for ever
And further my will and minde is that my said wiefe Jane Tookey shall have the tuition educacon
and bringing upp of my aforesaid Children untill they shall accomplish their ages aforesaid In
consideracon whereof my will and minde is that my aforesaid wiefe Jane Tookey shall receive and
take upp all the benifitt profitts and rents of my aforesaid Lands bequeathed unto my said sonne
John Tookey untill he shall accomplish the age of one and twenty yeares
I further give and bequeath unto my aforesaid wiefe Jane Tookey all my goods, cattell, howsehold
and moveables she dischargeing my debts lawfully oweing and performing my funerall expences
Item I doe make and ordeyne Jane Tookey my wiefe beforesaid Executrix to this my last will and testament

The sixth daie of February 1657[/8] issued forth lres [letters] of Administration to Deborah Tookey the mother of Bartholomew Tookey deceased to administer the goods Chattells and debts of the said deceased according to the tenor and effect of this his last will for that Jane Tookey the relict and Executrix named in the said Will hath judicially renownced the Execucon thereof as by the Acts of this court appeareth she being first sworne by Comission truely to administer &c.

Bartholomew Tookye, son of Smith Tookye, was baptised at St. Nicholas, New Romney on 27th October 1633.
Jane Tookey marries 5 Jul 1665 to an Edward Gouldston, Esquire at St. Clement, Old Romney.
Smith Tookye, bachelor, 25, married Deborah Etherick, Widow, 32, both of New Romney, on 5th Feb 1626/27 by Licence.
