Item I give unto the poore of the p[ar]ish of the said Goodnestone the some of tenn shillings to bee paid by myne executor on the day of my
buryall or wthin one month after
Item I give to Rebecka my welbeloved wife ten pounds of lawfull English money to bee paid her by myne executor hereafter menconed wthin
six months after my decease
Item I will and bequeath unto the said Rebecka my wife twentie pounds a yearlie annuitie out of my lands in Winysbuorough [Woodnesborough], Ash and Goodnestone the same Annuiite of twentie poundes to continew duringe her naturall life and to bee paid her by equall portions (vizt) ten pounds at Michaelmas and the other tenn pounds (at the) Annuncation of the Virgin Marie And if the Annuities or any porcon of it shall not bee paid wthin fowerteene dayes of either of the same feastes then it shalbe laufull for the said Rebecka my wife to strayne and drive and carry any goods Chattells of or from the said lands
Alsoe I will that the said Rebecka my wife shall have the p[ar]lor & the litle buttery adjoyning for her use wth free ingresse egresse and
regresse to it alsoe that shee shall have use of the kitchine, oven, well and the orchard for the drying of her Cloathes I will likewise that
shee have for her fuell all the Ashen toppes about my grounds being eight yeares growth or xpin or pinded (?) u[n]till
that these be onely for her use during her naturall life
Item I give unto her burning out of the wood wch is in the place for this first yeare after my decease
Item I give unto her one Cow wch shee shall chose allowing her pasture and keeping out of my lands for one Cow during her life
Item I give unto her all the poultery the bees and halfe of the howshold stuff and during her life the
yearely fruite of two apple trees each Michaellmas chusing wch shee will have
Item I will that shee shall have one pigge wch shee will of? the oulde sorte and duringe her life to have & keping of a pigge duringe her naturall life
Item I give unto myne sonne Symon Tucker tenne pounds of currant mony of England to bee paid to him by my executor wthin weekes after my
decease
Moreover I give unto my said sonne Symon Tucker an Annuitie of fifteene pounds a yeare to endure during his natural life the said to bee paid by
equall portions each halfe yere (viz) seaven pounds ten shillings at Michaelmas and seaven pounds ten shillings at the Annunciacon of the Virgin
Mary and for the default of the said paym[en]t if it bee not paid wthin fowerteene dayes following the feast aforesaid, it shalbe lawfull for him
to distrayne carry and drive away any goods or Chattells from my said lands in Wymisborough, Ash and Goognestone
Moreover I will that the said Symon shall have his lodging in the same bedd and where he now lodgeth during the life of his mother and if he
survive his mother I bequeath unto him five pounds a yeare more to bee paid him out of my said lands during his natural life to bee paid
him under the same forfeyture and after the same manner as the aforesaid fifeteene pounds
Item I give unto my sonne John Tucker thirty pounds to bee paid by mine executor wthin nine monthes after my decease
Item I will and bequeath unto my sonne Laurence Tucker all the rest of (my) goods debts and Chattells unbequeathed, my debts, legacies and
funerall expences discharged, wch Laurence I make sole executor of this my last will and testament

This is the last will and testament of William Tucker of Goodnestone Yeoman
Inprimis I give all my lands in Wymisborough, Ashe and Goodnestone unto my son William Tucker and the heires males of his body laufully begotten, and for want of such heires of his body laufully begotten I will it unto Symon Tucker the sonne of Laurence Tucker
The said lands I will to bee in the occupacon of my sonne Laurence Tucker for the space of tenn yeare after my decease, paying yearely fiftie
poundes videl[ic]t unto my wife twenty pounds a yeare durign her life; fifteene pounds a yeare to my sonne Symon during his life as is specified
in my will touching my goods and Chattells and the resideu to my sonne William
And if that Rebecka my wife or Symon my sonne or either of them doe die before the said tenn yeares bee expired that the said annuities of them or
either of them bee paid unto my sonne William
Provided that the said Laurence finde reparacons (William providing timber) and that Laurence doe likewise paye the Lords Rent that he doe not
fell any wood wthout the consent of my sonne William
wch William I will to pay my three daughters forty shillings apeece wthin two yeares after my decease
and to all my Grandchildren six shillings eight pence at the age of one and twenty yeares or theire day of mariage wch shall first happen
I will my sonne William to sett a stone over my grace
Sealed signed and delivered xiijth day of Sept. 1625 enterline after my decease and two yeares after my decease before the sealing in pr[e]sence

Notes:
William Tucker was buried at Holy Cross, Goodnestone (next Wingham) on 18 Sep 1625.
William Tucker married Rebecca Wood on 3 Jul 1576 at St. Nicholas, Ash-next-Sandwich, Kent.
They had a large number of children, including: Alice, Anne, Bennet, Dorothy, John, Symon, Thomas, Lawrence & William.
