Item I give and devise unto my Cousin Elizabeth Botting the wife of William Botting the younger of the City of Canterbury Carpenter the sum of Fifty pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain to be paid unto her by my Executor hereinafter named within six months next after my decease
Item I will and appoint that my Executor hereinafter named shall as soon as conveniently may be after
my decease pay and imploy the sum of One hundred pounds of lawfull money in the placing out of
Jonah Botting son of my said cousin Elizabeth Botting to some fit and proper Employment and for the
fiting him out for the same in case he shall not be so placed out in my Lifetime
But if he shall be placed out in my lifetime or shall dye before he is so placed out the said Moneys shall not be raised or paid
Item I give and devise unto the said Jonah Botting the sum of One hundred and fifty pounds of lawfull
money of Great Britain to be paid unto him by my Executor at his age of one and twenty years if he live
to attain the said age. And in the mean time until the said one hundred and fifty pounds shall become
due and payable I will that my said Executor shall pay unto the said Jonah Botting from the time of my
decease Interest for the said One hundred and fifty pounds at the rate of four pounds per cent per
annum by half yearly paym�ts for and towards the providing cloaths and other necessaries for him
And in case the said Jonah Botting shall happen to dye before he attain his said age of one and twenty
years Then the said one hundred and fifty pounds shall not be raised or paid Nor shall any interest be
paid for the same from the time of his decease
Item I give and devise unto Elizabeth Botting daughter of my said cozen Elizabeth Botting and sister of
the said Jonah Botting the sum of one hundred pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid unto
her by my Executor at the day of her Marriage
And I also give unto her the said Elizabeth Botting daughter of my said cozen Elizabeth Botting the
further sum of one hundred pounds more of like money to be paid unto her by my said Executor at her
age of one and twenty years if she live to attain the said age
And in the mean time until the said respective legacies of one hundred pounds and one hundred pounds
shall respectively become due and payable I will that my Executor shall pay unto the said Elizabeth
Botting daughter of my said cozen Elizabeth Botting Interest for the s�d respective legacies from the time
of my decease at the rate of four pounds p� cent p� annum by half yearly payments
And in case the said Elizabeth Botting daughter of my said cozen Elizabeth Botting shall happen to dye before either or both of the said respective legacies shall become due or payable Then I will that the said two several legacies of one hundred pounds and one hundred pounds or such of them as shall not become due or payable to the said Elizabeth Botting in her lifetime shall not be raised or paid Nor shall any interest be paid for the same from the time of her decease
Item I give and devise unto my neice Elizabeth Cuckow the widow and relict of Mr William Cuckow dec�d
the sum of one hundred pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain to be paid unto her by my
said Executor witnin Nine months after my decease
Item I give and devise unto my Cozen Elizabeth Nayer widow over and besides the Money for which I
gave bond to her late husband the sum of Fifty pounds of like lawfull money to be paid unto her by my
said Executor within One year after my decease
Item I give and devise unto my Cozen Ann the wife of David Oldfield the sum of Five pounds of lawfull
money to be paid within One month after my decease
Item I give and devise unto my Cozen John Sawkins the elder of the City of Canterbury Gent the sum of
Three Hundred pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid by my Executor in manner following (to wit)
One hundred and fifty pounds part thereof within One year after my decease
And the remaining One hundred and Fifty pounds residue thereof at the end of Two years after my decease
Item I give and devise unto Ten of the poorest widows living in the s�d parish of Waltham at my decease the sum of Ten shillings apiece to be paid and distributed within One month after my decease by my Executor as he in his Discretion shall think fit
Item I give and devise unto my said neice Elizabeth Cuckow widow for and during the term of her
natural life All those my Marshlands or parts or purparts of Marshland lying and being at or near
Eastbridge in the County of Kent commonly called Twisden�s Land And all other my lands and tenements
at or near Eastbridge aforesaid
And from & after her decease I give and devise the same unto my Cozen William Cuckow Son of my s�d
Neice Elizabeth Cuckow and to his heirs forever
And I do also give and devise unto my said Cozen William Cuckow the sum of Three hundred and Fifty
pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid unto him by my Executor hereafter named within
One year after my decease
Item I give and devise unto the said William Botting the younger All my wearing apparel both linen and woollen
And all other my linen I give and devise unto the s�d Elizabeth the wife of the said William Botting and
the said Elizabeth Botting her daughter equally to be divided between them
Item I give and devise unto my Cozen Daniel Cuckow of the City of Canterbury Gent and to his heirs forever All and singular other my Lands Tenements and hereditaments whatsoever
And I also give unto him the said Daniel Cuckow his Executors and Administrators all and singular my goods Chattels debts credits and Estate whatsoever whether real or personal not hereinbefore devised, he the said Daniel Cuckow paying out of the said lands tenements and hereditam�ts goods chattels real and personal Estate all my debts legacies and Funeral Expences with the payment whereof I do hereby charge as well the said Lands tenements and hereditaments as the said goods chattels and Estate both real and personal so devised to the said Daniel Cuckow
And I do hereby nominate and appoint the said Daniel Cuckow sole Executor of this my last Will & Testament
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Fourteenth day of February in the year of
our Lord One thousand and Seven hundred Twenty and Six � Tho: Tucker � Signes Sealed published and
declared by the said Thomas Tucker as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who also
attested the same in his presence
