In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Twopenny of Rainham in the County of Kent being not very well in Bodily Health but of sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding Praised be God do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and Form following that is to say

First I give and bequeath unto my Uncle Anthony Woodgate of Rainham aforesaid Shopkeeper and his Wife the sum of five Pounds a peice of lawful Money of Great Britain for Mourning

Also I give and bequeath unto my Kinsman Thomas Strover of Gillingham in the said County Sailmaker the Sum of thirty Pounds of like lawful Money to be Paid to him within Six Months next after my decease

Also I give and devise all and every my Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever with the Appurtenances Situate lying and being in the Parish of Gillingham in the said County unto and to the use of my Kinsman William Twopenny of the City of Rochester in the said County Gentleman his Heirs and Assigns forever

Also Whereas I am Possessed of the Rectory or Parsonage of Rainham aforesaid with the Appurtenances And of all and every the Houses Buildings Lands Woods Tythe Hereditaments and Appurtenances thereunto belonging by Virtue of and under a Lease heretofore granted thereof by Sir Edward Dering Baronet unto John Twopenny my late Brother deceased of which Lease there are now about nine Years to come and unexpired Now I do hereby give devise and bequeath the said Rectory or Parsonage and all other the Premises so held by Lease from the said Sir Edward Dering as aforesaid with their Appurtenances and all and every my Leasehold Interest and Time and Term of Years which I shall have to come therein at my Death together with the said Lease itself and also all and every my Goods and Chattels which shall be in upon or about the said Rectory or Parsonage and Leasehold Premises at my death of what Nature or Kind soever unto and to the use of my said Kinsman William Twopenny his Executors Administrators and Assigns forever

Also I give and bequeath unto William Twopenny Richard Twopenny Charlott Twopenny and Frances Catherine Twopenny the four Children of the said William Twopenny the sum of Twenty Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid to or retained by the said Father to and for their respective use and uses

Also I give and bequeath unto my Housekeeper Hannah Branley if she shall live in my Service at the time of my decease the Sum of Twenty Pounds of like Money to be paid within Six Months next after my decease

Also I give and bequeath all and every my Wearing Apparell both Linnen and Woollen and of what Nature or kind soever unto William Paine of Rainham aforesaid Husbandman

Also from and after Payment of my just Debts Legacys and Funeral Expences the Charges of proving this my Will and other incident Charges attending the Execution of the same I give and bequeath all and every the Rest and Residue of my ready Money and Securities for Money Debts Plate Linnen Woollen Pewter Brass Beds Bedding household stuff and Implements of household Goods Chattels and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto and amongst my Cousins Christopher Wildash Isaac Wildash John Wildash William Wildash Sarah the Wife of George Pemble Mary Wife of Daniel Kingsland and Ann Wildash Spinster the Sons and Daughters of my late Uncle in Law Isaac Wildash of Ospringe in the said County deceased and my Cousin Mary of Chatham in the Said County Spinster Daughter of my late Cousin John Wildash late of Newington in the said County House Carpenter deceased equally to be divided between them Share and Share alike and to their respective Executors and Administrators

and I do hereby make and appoint my said Kinsman William Twopenny the farther sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and do hereby revoke and make void all former Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Twopenny have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two Sheets of Paper to each Sheet thereof set my hand and to the last my Seal dated the twenty second day of July in the third Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the Year of Our Lord One thousand seven hundred and sixty three Thos Twopenny
