In the Name of God Amen I John Venner of Northfleet in the County of Kent yeoman being in good health of body and of a disposing mind and memory praise and thanks be given to Almighty God do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament in Writing in manner and form following that is to say
First I resign up my Poor and Immortal Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body to be decently Buried at the discretion of my loving Wife Elizabeth Venner and my Executor herein after named And as for such Worldly Goods and Estate as it hath pleased God to bless me withal I give and dispose thereof as followeth

First I give and bequeath unto my said loving Wife Elizabeth Venner all the ready money that She hath or shall have in her own private Custody or keeping at the time of my decease to be disposed of as She shall think fit without giving an Account thereof

Also I give and bequeath unto my two Daughters Mary Venner and Dorothy Higgins the Sum of five pounds apiece to be paid unto them respectively by my Executor herein after named within one year next after my decease

And all the rest and residue of my Real and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever my debts Legacys and Funeral Expences being first paid and discharged I give devise and bequeath unto my Son Richard Venner his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns

and I do hereby nominate and appoint my said Son Richard Venner sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament
And Lastly I do hereby Revoke Disannull and make void all former Will and Wills Testament and Testaments by me heretofore made and do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament

And I do hereby desire and request my two loving Brothers Richard Venner of Gravesend and Benjamin Venner of Southfleet to be Overseers of this my last Will and Testament and see the same carefully performed

In Witness whereof I the said John Venner have to this my Will contained in one Sheet of Paper set my hand and Seal this Eighth day of January in the sixteenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the Second and in the year of our Lord God One thousand seven hundred and forty
