In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Waghorn of the Parish of Saint Pauls Deptford in the County of Kent being in Bodily Health and of a sound and disposing mind and memory considering the Many uncertainties of this Transitory Life do for avoiding all Manner of Controversies after my decease make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say)
First and principally I commend my Soul unto the hands of Almighty God that gave it hopeing through the Meritorious Death and Passion of Jesus Christ my most Blessed Lord and Saviour to Receive Full and Free Pardon of all my Sins and to inherit Everlasting Life my Body I commit to the Earth there to be decently interred According to the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter mentioned And as touching such Worldly Endowments as it shall please God to bless me with at the time of my decease I do Give and dispose of as followeth (that is to say)

Imprimis my Mind and Will is that all my Just Debts and Funeral Expences shall be first paid satisfied and discharged
And all the rest Residue and Remainder of a and Singular the Money Wearing Apparel Goods Chattle or Estate of whatsoever nature kind or Quality the same is or may be found after my decease
I do give and bequeath to my dearly beloved Wife Alice Waghorn whom I make full and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament

And my further Will and pleasure is that no money be taken out of Trade that me (sic) money that shall become due to me in the Kings Yard at the time of my decease when paid
the following Legacys be paid by my Executrix before mentioned out of the said money that shall become due in the Kings Yard to the respective persons hereafter mentioned (that is to say)

I do give to my Son James Waghorn one Guinea
To my Son Thomas Waghorn one Guinea
To my Son Martin Waghorne one Guinea
To my Son in Law Ralph Wilkinson one Guinea
To my Daughter Jane Waghorn five Guineas
To my Daughter Penelope Waghorn five Guineas

Publishing and declaring these presents to be and contain my last Will and Testament
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the Thirteenth day of May Anno 1746 in the nineteenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George

This Will was proved at London the Thirty first day of August in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty before the Worshipfull Robert Chapman Doctor of Laws and Surrogate of the Right Worshipfull John Bettesworth also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Alice Waghorn Widow the Relict of the deceased and Executrix named in the said Will To whom Administration was granted of all and Singular the Goods Chattles and Credits of the said deceased being first sworn duly to Administer the same
