In The Name of God Amen the fourth day of September Anno Domi 1582 Elizabeth the Queen the 24th yeare of her reign I Alice Warren of Ash next Ridley widow being sick of body but of perfect mind and remembrance thanks be to God Do make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following First and principally I commend my Soul into the hands of all mighty God my maker and Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redemer and my body to be buried in a christian manner in the Churchyard of Ash aforesaid Item I give unto the poor mens box of Ash 8s 4d Item I give unto my daughter Barbara her children one Cowe to be paid imeddiatly after my decease

Item I give unto my daughter Alice her children ------ one Cowe to be paid immediately after my decease

Item I give unto my daughter Joan children 6s 8d to be equally divided among them and to be paid immediatly after my decease

The rest of all my goods not bequeathed I give to my Son in law Robert Dray who I Make and ordaine my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament made and written the day and year above written.
