In the name of God Amen I James Warren of Ash next Ridley in the County of Kent yeoman being in health of body and of a disposing mind and memory do make my last will and testament in mannor & forme following that is to say first I assigne up my soule into the hands of Almighty God that gave it trusting in his mercy to obtain eternal life and my body to the earth to be buried at the discretion of Executor herein after named and for such worldly goods chattells & estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to bless me withall I dispose of the same as followeth
Imprimis I give devise & bequeath unto my loving wife Elizabeth Warren the summe of tenn Pounds to be paid her by my Executor herein after named within six months after my decease Item I give devise and bequeath unto my dear & loving wife Elizabeth Warren five pounds per Anno by quarterly payments to be paid by my Executor hereafter named out of my personal Estate so long only as she continues solo and unmarried after my decease Item I give devise I bequeath unto my said loving wife all the furniture of the Room called the parlour chamber & such linnen and other necessarys as my Executor herein after named shall think necessary and convenient for her House
I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Ellinor Dean widow the
summe of ten pounds to be paid her by my Executor herein after named within six
months after my decease
Item I give to the poore of Ash aforsaid the summe of forty
shillings in money and twenty Shillings in bread to be given & distributed at the
discretion of the Minister and Church Wardens of Ash aforsaid
Item I give & bequeath unto my two Kinsman William Hayes and William Burgis of Meopham
the summ of twenty shillings a piece to be paid them by me Executor herein after
named
Item all the rest & residue of my Estate both real & personal whatsoever and
wheresoever I give devise and bequeath the same unto my grandson Richard
Dunston his heires & assignes for ever after paying my just debts & legacies and
funeral charges and expenses And I do hereby ordaine constitute and appoint my
said grandson Richard Dunston Sole Executor of this my last Will & Testament And I do
hereby revoke and make void all former wills & testaments by me made & I ordaine
this only to be my last Will & Testament In witness whereof I the said James Warren
have hereto sett my hand and Seale this ffive & twentieth day of March in the
Eleventh yeare of the raigne of our Sovereigne Lady Anne by the grace of God of
great Britain Ffrance & Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith Anno Diue 1712
