In the Name of God Amen I James Webb of the parish of Saint George the Martyr in the City of Canterbury Yeoman being weak in Body but of sound and perfect mind and memory God be praised for the same do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and Form following that is to say
First and principally I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator begging pardon for all my sins and hoping through divine mercy to obtain everlasting salvation by the precious and meritorious death and sufferings of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and my body I commit unto the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named and as to such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me I give and dispose thereof as follows

First I give and bequeath unto my sister in law Mary Hollis of Richmond in Surrey widow the sum of Fifty pounds of good and lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid unto her within six months next after my decease.

Item I give and bequeath unto my two sisters Jane now the wife of Edward Trainor of Navenby in the County of Lincolnshire and Martha Leeson of Denton in the said County of Lincolnshire the sum of three hundred and fifty pounds each of like lawful Money to be paid unto them within six months next after my decease

Subject nevertheless to the payment of the sum of one hundred pounds of like lawful Money to my Executrix hereinafter named to be accounted as a part being first taken and deducted out of the said legacy of the said sum of three hundred and fifty pounds hereinbefore given and bequeathed unto her the said Jane Trainor being the principal Money now due and owing on a Bond heretofore given by the said Edward Trainor her husband unto me

And also subject to the payment of the further sum of thirty pounds of like lawful Money to my Executrix hereinafter named to be accounted as a part being first taken and deducted out of the said legacy of the said three hundred and fifty pounds hereinbefore given and bequeathed unto her the said Martha Leeson being the Money now due and owing on one Note of Hand heretofore given by her the said Martha Leeson unto me

And my will is that the said Band and Note of Hand be taken as part and parcel of the legacy hereinbefore given and bequeathed to them the said Jane Trainor and Martha Leeson but nevertheless to stand and be absolutely freed and discharged of and from the payment of all such Interest as is now due and owing or shall become due and owing on the same at the time of my decease

Item I give devise and bequeath all that the sum of Nine hundred pounds of new Joint Stock of South Sea Annuities subscription together with all the rest and residue of my Goods Chattels ready money and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever after my debts legacies and Funeral expences are paid and discharged unto my loving wife Mary Webb whom I do hereby make ordain constitute and appoint Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament

And I do hereby revoke frustrate and make void all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do make ordain publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof to this my last Will and Testament contained in two sheets of paper to the first sheet thereof I have set my hand and to the last sheet thereof my hand and seal the second day of July in the third year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God King of Great Britain France and Ireland defender of the Faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty three. James Webb.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said James webb as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our Names as Witnesses hereunto in his presence and at his Request.

This Will was proved at London the eighth day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty three before the Right Worshipful Sir Edward Simpson Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Mary Webb Widow the Relict of the deceased and Sole Executrix named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased having been first sworn by Commission duly to administer.
