This is the last Will and Testament of me Ann Webb of Barham in the County of Kent Spinster made this Fourth Day of August in the Twenty Fifth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth And in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and Eighty five in manner and form following (that is to say) First I Desire my body to be decently and privately buried at the discretion of my executor herein after named

Also I give and devise all that my now Erected bricked Messuage or Tenement with the yard Garden Backside and Appurtenances thereunto belonging containing by Estimation seven perches be the same more or less Situate lying and being in or near a certain street called Derrington Street in Barham aforesaid heretofore in the Tenure or occupation of Elizabeth Webb deceased or her Assignes and now or late in the Tenure or occupation of Richard Cooper or his assignes unto Thomas Hodges of Elham gentleman To hold the same unto the said Thomas Hodges his heirs and assigns for ever

Also I give and bequeath all and every my Ready money securities for money plate china linen woollen Household Goods Debts Chattels and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever which shall be due owing payable or belonging to me at the time of my Decease (my Debts Funeral Expenses and the charges of proving this my last Will and Testament being first fully satisfied and paid) unto the said Thomas Hodges his Executors Administrators and Assigns

And lastly I do constitute and Appoint the said Thomas Hodges Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made In Witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal Dated the Day and Year abovesaid. Ann Webb.
Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said Ann Webb as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto Subscribed our Names as witnesses.

Note: Elizabeth Webb, deceased was Ann's mother. Richard Cooper was the husband of Ann's sister Sarah. Thomas Hodges was probably the son (bapt. 14 Jul 1761 Barham) of Ann's sister Mary and her husband Basil Hodges (married 24 Dec 1748 at Barham).
