In the Name of God Amen The 24th day of February 1679 according to the Computacon of the Church of England I William Wickes of Rolvenden in the Countie of Kent husbandman being of perfect memory and remembrance praised bee God for it doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following First I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my maker hopeing that through the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my onely Saviour and redeemer to receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my sinns and as for my body to bee buried in Christian buriall at the discretion of my executor hereafter nominated

Item I give to my wife all the household stuffe I had with her and five shillings in money within one month

Item I give unto her more that is to say the interest of all my estate soe long as shee keepeth herselfe a widdow and noe longer

Item I give unto my mother the use of my best cow soe long as shee liveth and Five pound in money to bee paid to her within a yeare

Item I give unto my daughter Mercy Forty pounds to bee paid to her when shee comes to the age of eighteene yeares and if she dye before she comes to that age then my will is that Thomas Henicar and Elizabeth Henicar shall have twenty pounds a peece

Item all the rest of my goods and debts I give unto John Winsor paying all my debts and legacies and makeing him sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I sett my hand and seale the day and year above written The marke of William Wickes in the presence of
