In the name of God Amen the ____ day of February 1600 And in the Fortye and two yeares of the raigne of our Soveraigne Lady Elizabeth by the grace of God Queen of England France and Ireland defender of the faith &c.
I Joane Willard of Bennenden in the County of Kent widowe sicke in body but of p[er]fect mynd and remembrance (thankes be therfor unto allmighty God) make ordayne and declare this my p[rese]nte testament contayning therein my last will in manner and fourme following (That is to say)
First & prinipallye I bequeuth and comend my soule unto Allmighty God trusting by the meritts of the most bitter death and passion of our only lord and saviour Jesus Christ that all my sinnes be forgiven me and I will th[a]t my body shalbe buried in Christian buriall decently as unto the discretion of my executors heareunder named shalbe thought most meet & convenient And considering my worldly goods

Item give unto Stephen Wellard my sonne the great Cubbert [Cupboard] in the hall I geve to Stephen Wellard my great chest in the hall chamber and the longe table in the hall I give to Stephen Wellard one Flocke bedd and a bolster, two blanketts and a covrlett and a paire of sheets wth a pillow

Item my will is that my daughter Todd is to have to the? sume of thre(e) poundes of my goodes being prised according to the will of my husband deceased the remaynder of the sume of xli [£10]
Item I give to my daughter Todd and her husband my great brasse pott
Item I give to my daughter Cheesman and her husband six pence in money
Item I give to my daughter Hills and her husband six pence in money
Item I give to my daughter Typoen? and her husband six pence in money

Item I give all the residue of my goods & moveables to my daughter Anne Wellard, my debts & funeral being discharged

Item my will is th[a]t my sone Wm. Willard shalbe my executor of this my last will and testament and my will is th[a]t he shall have for his paines five shillings

Elizabeth Willard married Steven Todd 10th June 1595 at Benenden.
