Also I do hereby make nominate constitute and appoint my Brother Solomon Wisenden of Preston near Faversham in the said County of Kent Wheelwright, my Nephew John Wisenden of Hollingbourne aforesaid Carpenter and my cousin John Champion of Kingsdown in the said County of Kent Carpenter joint Executors of this my Will
Also I give devise and bequeath unto my dear Wife Sarah Wisenden and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life One Annuity or yearly rent Charge or sum of Eighty pounds of lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Ireland current in Great Britain free and clear of and from all Taxes deductions Abatements and outgoings whatsoever to be paid to her my said Wife of her assigns by four equal payments in every year on the four most usual feasts or days of payment in the year the first payment thereof to begin and be made on such of the said feast days as shall first and next happen after my decease
And I do hereby charge and make chargeable all and every my Estates and Effects both real and personal with the payment thereof
And I do hereby give unto my said Wife or her assigns full power and authority to enter and distrain in and upon my said Estates and
Effects or any part thereof for the said Annuity or yearly Rent Charge or Sum of thirty pounds or any part thereof in case the same or
any part thereof shall at any time or times during the natural life of my said Wife be behind and unpaid longer than by the space of twenty
one days next over or after any of the said days on which the same ought to be paid as aforesaid being lawfully demanded
And the distress and distresses then and there found and taken to lead, drive, carry away, impound
or detain, keep, sell or dispose of under the said Annuity or Yearly rent charge or Sum of Eighty pounds and every part thereof and all
arrears thereof and all charges damages and expences whatsoever occasioned by the non payment thereof shall be fully paid and satisfied
Also I give devise and bequeath unto my said dear Wife such one of my dwelling houses with the appurtenances thereunto belonging and therewith used as she may think proper to make choice of to live and reside to hold unto and to the use of her my said Wife during the term of her natural life she my said Wife making one her choice within three months next after my decease
Also I give and bequeath unto my said dear Wife for and during the term of her natural life the use and enjoyment of all and singular the household Goods and Furniture, plate, Linen, China, Earthen Ware and Glassware and Implements of Household of which I shall die possessed or which shall belong to me at the time of my decease And I direct than an Inventory thereof shall be taken by my said Executors as soon as conveniently can be after my decease and an acknowledgement under the hand of my said Wife testifying her receipt of the same
And from and immediately after the decease of my said Wife I direct that my said Household Goods and furniture and Implements of household shall sink into and become part of the residue of my personal Estates and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances (subject nevertheless to and charged and chargeable with the payment of the said Annuity or Yearly Rent charge or sum of Eighty pounds to my said dear Wife and her assigns as aforesaid) in manner following (that is to say)
I give and devise unto my Nephews Thomas Farmer and Nicholas Farmer all those three Messuages Tenements or Cottages with the Gardens and appurtenances thereunto respectively belonging and therewith used Situate standing lying and being in Eyethorne Street in Hollingbourne aforesaid and now in the several tenures or occupations of Peter Farmer their Father, Elizabeth French Widow and Thomas Hollands to hold the same unto and to the use of my said Nephews Thomas Farmer and Richard Farmer their heirs and assigns for ever to be equally divided between them share and share alike to take as tenants in common and not as joint Tenants
Subject nevertheless and I do hereby declare my Will to be that their Father the said Peter Farmer shall and may have the free use and occupation of the Messuage Tenement or Cottage one of the three Messuages Tenements or Cottages so devised to them as aforesaid which he now occupies if my said Wife shall not make choice thereof for and during the term of his natural life without paying any rent or other Consideration for the same
Also I give and bequeath unto my said Executors and the Survivors or Survivor of them and the Executors and administrators of such Survivor the Sum of three hundred pounds of lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Ireland current in Great Britain Upon trust with all convenient speed to lay out and invest the same in their names or name of the Survivors or Survivor of them and the Executors and administrators in some or one of the Public Stocks or Funds of the United Kingdom of or on Government or real Security or Securities
And do and shall pay to or otherwise authorize permit and suffer my said Brother Solomon
Wisenden and his assigns to have receave and take the dividends Interest and annual
proceed thereof to his and their own use and benefit for and during the term of his natural life
and from and immediately after his decease Upon trust to pay assign and transfer the said Stocks Funds
and Securities unto William Wisenden, Thomas Wisenden and Lemon Wisenden three of the Sons of my said Brother Solomon Wisenden to be
divided between them share and share alike in equal parts shares and proportions to whom I give and bequeath the same accordingly
Also I give and bequeath unto my Nephew John Farmer the sum of one hundred pounds of lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great
Britain & Ireland current in Great Britain
and unto my Nieces Sarah Farmer, Mary Farmer and Elizabeth Farmer the Sum of Fifty pounds each of like money which I direct shall
be paid to them respectively immediately after the decease of my said Wife but not before
I also give and bequeath unto my said Nephew John Wissenden and unto my nephew William Farmer all my Farms and Lands with the Chalk Cliff thereunto belonging situate above Hollingbourne Street and over the Hill and now in the occupation of myself which said Farms and Lands I Rent and hold of Sir Horace Mann Baronet and also all the Farming stock, Crops, Horses, cattle, Sheep, Cows, Hogs, Poultry, Waggons, Carts, Barrows, Rollers and farming Implements and utensils of and belonging to the same to hold the same unto my said Nephews John Wissenden and William Farmer their Executors admors. and assigns to be divided between them share and share alike in equal parts shares and proportions
Also I give and bequeath unto my said Nephew William Farmer the Leasehold Land called Hollingbourne twenty three acres situate lying and being upon Hollingbourne Hill which I rent and hold of the Dean and Chapter of Canterbury together with the Lease thereof and all benefit of renewal thereof And also all the crops growing and being thereon to hold the same unto my said Nephew William Farmer his Executors Administrators and Assigns
Also I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Thomas Boorah of Chart next Sutton Vallence in the said County of Kent Victualler and unto my Grand Nephew Thomas Boorah the Son of my said Nephew Thomas Boorah and unto each of them the sum of one hundred pounds of lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Ireland current in Great Britain which I direct shall be paid to them respectively within twelve Months next after my decease
Also I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Robert Boorah the sum of one hundred pounds of lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Ireland current in Great Britain which I direct shall be paid to him by four quarterly payments (that is to say) the sum of twenty five pounds one fourth part thereof within the first year next after my decease; the like sum of twenty five pounds one other fourth part thereof within the second year next after my decease; the like sum of twenty five pounds one other fourth part thereof within the third year next after my decease; and the remaining twenty five pounds the final fourth part thereof within the fourth year next after my decease
Also I give and bequeath to my said Nephew John Wissenden all that Messuage or Tenement with the Yard, Garden and Premises thereunto belonging wherein I now reside and dwell situate in Hollingbourne aforesaid together with the Lease thereof and all benefit and advantage thereof and all my Estate term and Interest therein to hold the same (subject nevertheless and it is my will and mind and I do hereby expressly declare that my said Wife shall and may live and reside therein if she shall think proper to dwell there in preference to any other of my Messuages Tenements or dwelling Houses) and in that event I do hereby declare my will to be that she shall have the sole and exclusive possession and occupation thereof to her and her assigns for her and their own use and benefit for and during her natural life or so long as the Lease thereof shall continue unto my said Nephew John Wissenden his Executors Administrators and assigns
Also I give and bequeath unto my said Nephew John Wissenden all my stock in trade and Business of a Carpenter Builder and Wheelwright and all my stock of Tools and Timber of every kind and sort And all my working Tools and in the said Trades or Business of a Carpenter Builder or Wheelwright together with all my Book debts and Books of Accounts relating to the said Trades or Businesses to hold the same unto my said Nephew John Wissenden his Executors Administrators and Assigns
Also I do give and bequeath unto my said Nephew John Wissenden all that Leasehold Estate which I rent and hold of the Dean and Chapter of Canterbury called the Hollingbourne Fifteen Acres situate in Hollingbourne aforesaid together with the lease thereof And all the Stock and Crops thereon to hold unto and to the use of my said Nephew John Wissenden his Executors Administrators and Assigns
Also I give and devise unto my said Nephew John Wissenden all those my two Messuages or Tenements now in the tenure or occupation of the said John Wissenden and John Winter situate standing and being at Eythorn Green in Hollingbourne aforesaid with the Gardens and appurtenances thereunto belonging to hold the sane unto and to the use of the said John Wissenden and his Assigns for and during the term of his natural life
And from and after his decease I give and devise the said two Messuages or Tenements and premises unto and to the use of my grand Nephew Solomon Wissenden one of the Sons of the said John Wissenden his heirs and assigns for ever but if my said grand Nephew Solomon Wissenden shall happen to die under the age of twenty one years without Issue lawfully begotten then and in that case I give and devise the said two Messuages or Tenements and Premises unto and to the use of my Grand Nephews Thomas Wissenden, John Wissenden and William Wissenden the three other Sons of my said Nephew John Wissenden their Heirs and Assigns for ever to be divided between and amongst them share and share alike and to take as Tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants
Also I give and devise unto my said Nephew John Wissenden all those three Messuages Tenements
or Cottages situate standing and being at Eyehorne Green aforesaid and now in the tenure or
occupation of ___ Mauley Widow William Wood and Thomas Morgan with the Garden and Appurtenances thereunto belonging to hold the
same unto and to the use of my said Nephew John Wissenden and his assigns for and during the term of his natural life and from
and immediately after his decease I give and devise the said Three Messuages Tenements or Cottages
and Premises unto and to the use of my said Grand Nephew the said Thomas Wissenden one other
of the Sons of the said John Wissenden his Heirs and Assigns for ever
But if my said Grand Nephew Thomas Wissenden shall happen to die under the age of twenty one
years without Issue lawfully begotten then and in that case I give and devise the said three Messuages
Tenements or Cottages and Premises unto and to the use of my said Grand Nephews Solomon
Wissenden, John Wissenden and William Wissenden the three other Sons of my said Nephew John
Wissenden their heirs and assigns for ever to be divided between and amongst them share and share
alike and to take as Tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants
Also I give and bequeath unto my said Nephew John Wissenden and those Three Messuages
Tenements or Cottages adjoining to the Churchyard of Hollingbourne aforesaid and now in the
tenure or occupation of William Young, Thomas Simmonds and Richard Attwood with the Gardens
and appurtenances thereto belonging all which last mentioned Premises I hold under and by virtue of
a Lease from the said Dean and Chapter of Canterbury and all benefit and advantage thereof to hold
the same unto and to the use of my said Nephew John Wissenden for and during the tern of his
natural life if the said Lease shall continue so long
And from and after his decease I give and bequeath all and singular the said last mentioned premises
unto my said Grand Nephew John Wissenden one other of the Sons of my said Nephew John
Wissenden his Executors Administrators and assigns
but if my said Grand Nephew John Wissenden shall happen to die under the age of twenty one years without Issue lawfully begotten
then and in that Case I give and bequeath the said three Leasehold Messuages Tenements or Cottages
unto and to the use of my said Grand Nephews Solomon Wissenden, Thomas Wissenden and
William Wissenden their Executors Admors. and assigns to be divided between and amongst them in equal parts shares and proportions
Also I give and devise unto my Grand Nephew William Wissenden one other of the Sons of my
said Nephew John Wissenden on his attaining the age of twenty one years all these two Messuages or
Tenements with the Land and appurtenances thereunto belonging and therewith used containing
One acre and all which said Premises are situate standing lying and being in Eyehorne Street
aforesaid and are now in the occupation of myself, Thomas Lampars and David Daniels to hold the
same unto and to then use of my said Grand Nephew William Wissenden his heirs and assigns for ever
But if my said Grand Nephew William Wissenden shall happen to die under the age of twenty one
years without Issue lawfully begotten then and in that Case I give and devise the said Two Messuages
or Tenements Land and Appurtenances unto and to the use of my said Grand Nephews Solomon
Wissenden, Thomas Wissenden and John Wissenden three other Sons of my said Nephew John
Wissenden their heirs and assigns for ever to be divided between and amongst them share and share
alike to take as Tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants
Also I give and bequeath unto the said John Champion the Sum of Fifty pounds of lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Ireland current in Great Britain as a recompense for the trouble he may have in the execution of this my Will
And as (to) all the rest residue of my monies and Securities for Money, Goods, Chattels, Effects and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto and to the use my said Brother Solomon Wissenden and my said Nephew John Wissenden to be equally divided between them share and share alike
Provided always and I do hereby order and direct that it shall and may be lawful to and for my said Executors and the Survivors and Survivor of them and the Executors and admors. of such survivor from time to time and at all times hereafter to deduct and retain to themselves respectively out of the monies which shall come to their hands by virtue of this my will all such Costs Charges damages and Expences which they any or either of them shall or may pay over sustain or be put unto for or by reason or means of the trusts herein contained or the Execution thereof or any wise relating thereto and that they or the Survivor or Survivors of them or the Executors or administrators of such survivor shall not be answerable or accountable for any more monies than he or they shall respectively actually receive nor for the acts deeds Receipts or payments of the other or others of them but each of them for his and their own acts deeds Receipts or Payments only and not otherwise
And Lastly I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me made and declare this only to be my last Will
and Testament In Witness whereof I the said William Wissenden the Testator have to this my last
Will and Testament contained in six Sheets of Paper to each sheet thereof set my hand and to this last
sheet affixed my seal this twentieth day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four

This Will was proved at London on the twenty sixth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and six before the Worshipful Charles Ogilvie, Doctor of Laws and Surrogate of the
Right Honorable Sir William Wynne, Knight, also Doctor of Laws, Master Keeper or Commissar of
the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oaths of Solomon Wisenden, by
mistake in the Will written Wissenden the Brother, John Wisenden by mistake in the Will written
Wissenden the Nephew and John Champion the Executors named in the said Will to whom
administration was granted of all and singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased
having been first sworn duly to administer.

Kent by Licence on 25th July 1768. Witnesses were: Ann Crayden and Sarah Simpson.
