The last Will and Testament nuncupative of John Wissenden late of the parish of Bearsted in the County of Kent and Archdeaconry of Canterbury, batchelor decea[se]d by him uttered and declared in the time of his sicknes whereof he dyed and about three dayes next before his death which happened on or about the xxxjth [31st] day of October Anno dini one Thousand six hundred seaventy and seaven – he being then of perfect minde and memory and having a full intent and purpose to make his Will did declare the same by word of mouth in these or the like words following, vizt.

The said dece'd did say and declare That he gave unto his Sister Five shillings and unto her husband his old suite of Clothes
And the said dece'd being urged by Mr. William Jones then pr[e]sent to give something more to his said sister or her husband the said decesd. did reply he would not.

And the said deced. did declare that whattever else he had he did give unto Joane Lesser (being a person the said decea'd had intended to have marryed had he lived)
Or the said dece'd did utter and declared his will foresaid in the words aforesaid or in words to that effect and substance

In the prsence of the aforesaid William Jones and of Thomasine Jones wife of the said William.

Probatum fuit: 2nd November 1677
