Will of Ann Witherden

of Ramsgate, Kent

I give all my money and Securities for money Household Furniture and all my Personal Estate of what nature or kind soever unto my friend John Collard of Broomfield Parish of Hern Co Kent my Son Geo Witherden of Margate Printer their Exors Admors & assigns upon trust to sell & invest the produce in the Government Funds or upon Real Security & to stand Possessed thereof upon the trusts after declared

I give and devise all my Messes Lands Tenements Heredits & Real Estate wheresoever situate unto the sd John Collard & Geo Witherden & their hrs to hold to them their hrs & assigns for ever upon trust to sell as soon as may be after my decease & to invest the produce in the Government Funds or upon Real Securities & to stand possessed thereof upon the trusts after declared

I declare that the Receipts of my trustees Shall be sufficient discharges to the purchasers who shall not be obliged to see to the Application of their purchase money nor be accountable for the misapplication thereof
I desire that my said trustees shall stand possessed of Funds & Securities in & upon which the produce of my Real & Personal Estate shall be so invested upon trust to pay the Int. & dividends amongst
my four Children George, Eliz Ann Gore Wife of Israel Gore of Margate, James and Mary Billings Wife of Francis Thos Billings
equally during their natural lives the shares of my daurs to go to the seperate use independant of the Husbands & these Receipts alone to be good discharges & after the death of either of them leaving issue upon trust to divide the share of his or her so dying equally amongst such Children & if but one Child then to such only Child but if either of my said Children should die without issue upon trust to divide his or her share equally among the Survivors of my sd Children

it shall be lawful for my said trustees to lay out any sum not exceeding �500 for the purchase of a Messe for the occupation of my daur Elizabeth Ann Gore if she shall so direct
and also at their discretion to lay out any sum not exceeding one half of my Son James share for his benefit and advancement in the World
and also any sum not exceeding �500 to each of my Children George & Mary Billings if they shall so direct for her absolute use
