In the name of God Amen the nyne and twentieth dayes of Januarye in the yeare of the raigne of our Soveraigne Lord James by the grace of God Kinge of England Frannce and Ireland the eighth? and of Scotland the fyve and fortieth defender of the fayth etc. Anno 1611
I Clement Woodland of the parishe of Braborne in the County of Kent Yeoman beinge deseased in body but of good and perfecte reameambrance [remembrance] (Thanks be to Almightye God) doe make this my laste Will and testament in manner & forme followeinge
First I bequeath my Soule to God my maker and redeemer and my bodye ofte [to the] earth and to be buryed in the Churchyard of Braborne

Item I will and give unto the poore people of the parrishe of Brabourne twentye shillinges to be payd and distributed amongst them by my Executor wthin one moneth next after my Buryall

Item I will and give my household stuffe whatsoever wthin doores out all Martha my wyffe Peter Woodland and John Woodland my said sonnes to be equally devyded amongest them three wthin one whole yeare next after my decease

Item I will that my Executor shall paye unto my two sonnes when they shall come to the said severall ages of one and twentye yeares the full some of twentye pounds in full payement of a certen legacye gyven unto my two sonnes Peter and John by the laste Will and testament of Richard Porte wch sayd some I Clement Woodland have received unto theire uses

Item I will and give unto Peter Woodland my sonne tenn pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be payd him when he shall come to his age of one and twentye yeares
Item I will & give unto John Woodland my sonne tenn pounds of good and lawfull money of England to bepayd him when he shall come to his age of one and twentye yeares
Item I will that yf any of my two sonnes doe happen to dye before they come to theire severall ages of one and twentye yeares theat then the one shalbe the others hayre [heir]

Item I doe ordayne and make Martha my wyffe my sole executrix of this my psent [present] testament and laste will
Item I will and give unto Martha my wyffe all the residewes of my goods Chattalls and other moveable goods whatsoever not beinge before gyven and bequathed she payeing my debts & Legacies

This ys the laste will and testament of me the aforesaid Clement Woodland made and declared the day and yeare firste above written of and uppon all my houses lands tennements and other hereditaments wthin the parrishes of Horton, Stoutinge [Stowting], Sallendge [Sellindge], Bonnington and Ruckinge or ells [else] where, wthin the Countye of Kent

Item I will and give unto Peter Woodland my sonne one house or tenement and all my lands belongeinge unto yt sett lyeinge and beinge in the parrishe of Sellendge and nowe in the occupacon of one Stephen Cokear and one other parcell of Marshe land conteyninge by estimacon eleven acres sett lyeinge and beinge in the parrishe of Bonnington and now in the occupacon of Mr. Bleshenden [Blishenden?] to be payd to the sayd Peter my sonne and to the heires of his bodye lawfullye begotten; from and in default of such yssue I will all the said houses and lands out to John Woodland my sonne and to the heires of his bodye lawfullye begotten to him and to his heires for evr

Item I will and give to John Woodland my sonne one house or tenement and all the lands belongeinge to yt sett leyinge and beinge in the parrishe of Stowtinge and one other house or tenement and all the lands belongeinge unto yt sett lyeinge and beinge in the parrishe of Ruckinge and one other house or tenement and all the lande belongeinge unto yt sett lyeinge and beinge in the parisshe of (Monks) Horton to be hadd to the sayd John my sonne and to the heries of his bodye lawfullye begotten for evr and in default of such yssue I will all the same lands and houses unto Peter my sonne and to the heires of his bodye lawfully begotten to him and his heires for evr

and in default of such yssue and want of heyres of Peter and John my sonnes or eyther of them as aforesayd then I will and give all my sayd houses and lands unto Clement Woodland sonne of Peter Woodland my Brother and to the heires of the bodye of the sayd Clement for evr
Provyded alwayes and my will and mynd ys that neither Clement Woodland my brothers sonne nor his heires neither and any other Claymigne [Claiming] (to) be him or them shall nevr have and profitt nor benefitt owt (or) clayme of the sayd houses nor lands duringe the naturall lyffe of Martha my wyffe

Item I will unto Martha my wyffe all whole proffitt and reven... [revenues] of all my lands and houses dureinge her widdowhood and noe longer
Item I will that yf my two sonnes doe both happen to dye wthowt heire or heires of theire bodyes lawfullye begotten, then Iwill and give unto Martha my wyffe all the whole proffits and benefitt of all my sayd houses and of all my sayd lands dureinge her naturall lyffe wthowt the lett or interrupcon [interruption] of the sayd Clement Woodland or any otr pson [other person] whatsoever and then after her decease unto the aforesayd Clement Woodland & to his heires for ever

In Wittnes that this ys my laste will and testament I the sayd Clement Woodland have hereunto sett my hand and seale dated the daye and yeare firste above written
