In the name of god Amen the sixteenth day of August Anno domini 1622
I John Wood of Marden in the County of Kent, glover and fellmonger, sicke in body, but of good and perfect remembrance, thanks be given unto god therfore, do make this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge
First I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty god my maker, stead fayth trustinge through the precious bloodshedding of Jesus Christ my Redeemer and saviour that all my sines are freely pardoned and forgiven me and my body to be buried in ye Churchyard of Marden

Inprimis I give to the power of the parishe of Marden 3s 4d to be payd by my Executrix within six weekes after my decease
Item I give unto my Brother George Wood and my sister Alice and my sister Elizabeth and my sister Janne to eyther of them twelve pence a peece it being lawfully demanded within six weekes after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth my wife and to her heires for ever my Tenement, house, lodge, orchard & garden with all the appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging commonly knowne and called by the name of Neals Hope (?) scituat and liinge in Aynsford in the county of Kent

Also all my household stuffe, Chattells, cattels and movables whatsoever
And my sayde wife Elizabeth whome I make and ordaine to be my sole and whole executrix of this my last will and testament shall pay and discharge all my debts and legacies and funerall expences whatsoever
