Item I give unto the poore of Bredgar twenty shillinges and to the poore of Wormshill 20s & to Mr Lanes to preach at my buriall 40 shillings
Item I give and bequeath unto my Brother Henry Wood the Som of One hundred pounds of lawfull money of England and my Silver saltseller to bee paied and delivered unto him by my executrix hereafter named within three dayes next after my decease.
Item I give and bequeath unto my Brother John Wood One Silver beere bowle and one Silver wyne Cupp and three silver spoones to be delivered unto him within three dayes after my decease
Item the residue of all my Goods and Chattles, after my debts Legacies and funerall Charges and expences bee fully satisfied and paied I give and bequeath unto Anne my wife and I doe make appointe and ordayne her sole executrix of this my last will and testament thus for concerninge my Goods and Chattles
This is my last will and testament concerninge my Lands and tenements whatsoever ----- whereas I suppose my said wife to bee with child if it shall please God to send her safe delivrance of a Sonne then I give and bequeath unto that my saied Sonne and to his heires for ever All my lands and tenements whatsoever and all the estate right title remainder revercon and domains which I have of in and to Two Messuages one barne one stable three orchards and eleaven peeces or parcells of lands and woods Conteyninge Forty and Foure acres more or lesse scituate lyinge and beinge in Wormshill aforesaid and it is my will and meaninge and I doe appointe and order that my Unckle Richard Tilden of Milstead gent shall receive to the use of my saied Sonne the rents and profitts of all my Lands and tenements whatsoever untill my saied Sonne shall attayne the full age of one and Twenty yeares
And also my will and meaninge is that my saied wife shall (if shee soe please) have the bringing upp and educacon of my saied Sonne untill hee atayne the age of twelve yeares and to bee paied and allowed out of the rents and profitts of my saied Lands towards the saied educacon of my saied Sonne the full Som of Fourteene pounds yearely
And further my will and meaninge is and I doe order and appointe that after my saied Sonne hath attayned the age of twelve yeares aforesaied then my saied Unckle Richard Tilden shall have the bringing upp Guardianshipp and educacon of my saied Sonne untill hee shall attayne the full age of one and Twenty yeares
Item if that it shall please God to send my saied wife safe delivrance of a daughter then I give and bequeath unto my saied daughter and her heires for ever All that my messuages or or tenement one barne one stable and three score and Fourteene acres of Lands more or lesse with the appurtenances lyinge in Boughton Malehearbe at a place called Graftey greene
And my will and meaninge is and I doe order and appointe that my saied Unckle Richard
Tilden shall receive to the use of my saied daughter the rents and profitts of the saied Lands
before bequeathed unto her untill shee shall attayne the full age of Eighteene yeares
And further my will and meaninge is that my saied wife shall (if shee please) have the
bringing upp and educacon of my saied daughter untill shee shall attayne the full age of
Eighteene yeares and to bee paied and allowed out of the rents and profitts of the saied Lands
so bequeathed unto her the full Som of two hundred? pounds yearely towards the educacon of
my saied daughter
And also that if my saied wife bee delivered of a daughter that then I give and bequeath unto my aforesaied Brother John Wood and his heires for ever All that my Messuages or tenement barne stable and ffourteene acres of Lands more or lesse with their appurtenances lyinge at Southerneden in the parish of Boughton aforesaied
And also that then I give and bequeath unto my saied Brother Henry Wood and his heires for ever my aforesaied estate right title remainder revercon and domaines of in and to the saied two Messuages barne stable orchards and Lands in Wormshill aforesaied
Butt in Case my saied Sonne shall happen to departe this life before hee attayne the age of One and Twenty yeares or that my saied wife bee not with childe and that I dye without issue that then I give and bequeath unto my saied Brother John Wood and to his heires for ever my aforesaied messuage and Lands with the appurtenances lyinge at Southerneden aforesaied and my saied estate right title remainder revercon and domaines of in and to the saied two Messuages and Lands with the appurtenances in Wormshill aforesaied
And also that then I give and bequeath unto my aforesaied Brother Henry Wood and to his heires for ever All that my saied Messuage or Tenement one barne one stable and threescore and Fourteene acres of land more or lesse with the appurtenances lyinge and beinge in Boughton Malehearbe aforesaied at a place called Graftey greene aforesaied
In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale and published the same for my last
will and testament utterly revoakinge all other and former wills this seventh day of June Anno
domini 1639.
