In the name of God Amen. I Leonard Woodwar of the Parish of Eastry in the County of Kent husbandman beeing in health and Sound memory praysed bee God for the same doe make and declare this my last will and Testament in writing the Twentieth day of December in the nine and Twentieth yeare of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles the Second now King of England etc. Annoque Domini 1677 in manner following.
Imprimis I comend my Soule to God my Creator trusting by the alone merrits of Christ my Redeemer to bee made partaker of a better life after this mortall life ended my body I committ to the earth to bee buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named

Item I give and bequeath unto Selvester Woodwar my Sonn All that my Antient house in Eastry adioyning to the Kings highway there torwards the East and halfe the Barne thereunto belongeing beeing the East end thereof and halfe the garden thereunto beelonging beeing that parte which adioyneth to the Parsonage orchard towards the North
Alsoe I give and bequeath unto my said sonne Selvester Woodwar one peece or parcell of arrable land Conteyning by estimation two acres bee there more or lesse lyeing neere Eastry Mill in Eastry aforesaid
Alsoe I give and bequeath unto my said sonne Selvester Woodwar one halfe of the place and yarde apperteyning to the messuage aforesaid and to my other small Tenement hereafter mentioned to bee given unto Gabriell Drayson of Eastry and Anne his now wife my Daughter
and I will that the said place and yarde shall bee equally and indifferently devided between my said sonne Selvester and said Gabriell and Anne by friends indiffferently to bee chosen as may bee most Commodious for them
and I give and will that the well to the said houses belongeing bee equally used and to bee belonging to the said two houses for ever the Tennants and occupiers of the said houses beeing at equall charge in mainteyning the same and the Buckett and rope thereto belongeing for ever
To have and to hold all and Singular the said premises heareby given unto my said Sonne Selvester unto him the said Selvester and his assigns during his naturall life hee keeping the buildings well repaired

And from and after his decease I give all the said premises to him given as aforesaid unto Mathew Woodwar my Grandchild sonne of the said Selvester and unto the heyres of his body lawfully to bee begotten for ever
and for want of such heyres I give the same premises unto Selvester Woodwar my Grandchild brother of the said Mathew and unto the heyres of his body lafully to bee begotten for ever

Item I give and bequeath unto the said Gabriell Drayson and Anne his wife my Daughter and unto theire heyres for ever the other halfe of the barne and garden belonging to my said Antient house in Eastrey and all that my samll Tenement aforementioned in Eastrey and halfe the said yarde and place before mentioned to bee devided as aforesaid and the use and benfitt of the well as aforesaid
Alsoe I give and bequeath unto them the said Gabriell and Anne and theire heyres for ever all that my peece or parcell of land Conteyning by Estimation two acres bee there more or lesse lying and beeing neere Beteshanger Mill in Eastrey aforesaid

Alsoe I give and Bequeath unto the said Anne my Daughter the some of Tenn pounds of lawfull money of England to bee paid unto her by my Executor hereafter named within Twelve months next after my decease
And that if Default shall bee made in the payment of the said some of Tenn pounds unto her the said Anne or her assignes within the said Twelve months That then it shall and may bee lawfull to and for her the said Anne or her assignes to enter into and uppon the said house land and premises heareby given unto my said sonne Selvester and every parte thereof and to hold and enioy the same until oute of the rents and profitts thereof shee shall bee fully satisfied and paid the said some of Tenn pounds any thing hearein Conteyned to the contrary notwithstanding

Item I give to my Daughter Elizabeth Woodwar and her heires for ever fower peeces of land at Menson in Eastry conteyning two acres and a halfe
Item I give and bequeath all my moveable goods of what nature soe ever unto my said Daughter Anne and my Daughter Elizabeth equally to bee devided between them

and I doe make my sonne Selvester Woodwar Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament and revoking all former wills doe declare this to bee my last will and Testament

Probate granted 10th April 1680 to Silvester Woodwar his son
