In the name of God Amen I Joane Woodwar of the Citty of Canterbury widdow being in good sound and perfect mind memory and understanding God be praysed therefore Doe make and ordayne This my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following (That is to Say)
first I Recommend my Soul to Allmighty God my Creator And my body I committ to the earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my Loving Son James Tassell whome I make Sole Executor of this my will

Item I give and bequeath unto my Sister Joane Suratt the summe of forty Shillings of lawfull money of England if She Survive me To be payd unto her by my Said Executor within one Moneth next after my decease if She be then living

Item I give and bequeath unto my Cousens Jeremy Payne Elizabeth Payne Thomas Payne and Mary Payne four pounds to be layd out on decent and necessary apparell for them by my Said Executor att such times and in such manner and by such proporcions as my said Executor shall thinke fitt and their father or mothers receipts shall be sufficient discharges for the same to my said Executor

Item I give and bequeath unto my sisters sons wife Mary Payne mother of the said four Children all my wearing Apparell Linnen and woollen to be delivered to her by my said Executor within one Moneth after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto my Grand daughter Elizabeth Billinghirst my Biggest Gold ring
Item I give and bequeath unto my Grand daughter Mary Billinghirst my least Gold Ring
Item I give and bequeath unto my said Grand daughter Elizabeth Billinghirst my biggest Pewter dish

All the Overplus of my estate whatsoever not herein given devised or bequeathed I give and bequeath unto my said Son and Executor he paying my debts legacys funerall Charges and the Charges of the probate of this my will out of the same

In witnes whereof I have hereonto sett my hand and seale this first day of June in the yeare of our Lord One Thousand Six hundred Ninety and Seaven Annoque [in latin: in the reign of William the Third of England etc the ninth]
