I give and Bequeath unto my son John Woodruff one Shilling
I give and Bequeath unto my son William Woodruff all that my messuage or Tenement Maulthouse Outhouse Garden and Orchard now or
late in the Occupacion of Margaret Castle Widow and Henry Danton to my said son William Woodruff dureing his natural life
and from and after his death then to Margaret his wife dureing her natural life provided she keeps herself a Widow
and from and after her Death or Widowhood then to William Woodruff son of my son William to him his Heirs and Assignes for ever
and if my said Grandson William Woodruff should die before he enjoys the same then I give and Bequeath the same unto Thomas Woodruff son of my son Matthew Woodruff to him his Heirs and Assignes for ever
and my Will is that my son William Shall pay out of the said premises unto my son Richard Woodruff the summ of fourty pound of Lawfull money at one year after my Decease
I Give and Bequeath unto my sons Matthew Woodruff and Henry Woodruff all that my Messsuage or Tenement with the House Barn
Outhouse Garden and Land thereunto belonging Situate Lying and being at or near a certain place called Summersfield in the parish of
Woodnesborough and now late in the Tenure or Occupacion of William Collar or of his Assignes to them the said Matthew and Henry
Woodruff dureing their natural lives the Rent thereof to be equally Divided Between them
and from and after their Decease then to their wives who are now living so long as they shall keep themselves Widows,
and from and after their Decease or Widowhood then to their sons Thomas the son of Matthew and John the son of Henry to them
their Heirs and Assignes for ever to be Divided as aforesaid
and whereas my son John is by contract to pay out of my House at the Fairfield gate the summ of five and twenty pounds to whom I should appoint by will in one year next after my Decease, and I give unto my Son Richard aforesaid Thirteen pounds of the Said five and twenty pounds and I give unto my Granson John Moverly the remaining twelve pounds to be paid to his mother to keep for him
Also I give unto my son Richard fifty six pounds a Mortguage on a House at Deal Beach now in the occupacion of the Widow Edwards
Also I give my son Richard a Tenn pound Bond on John Tayler of Stadmarsh
also I give unto my son Richard another Tenn pound Bond on Simeon Nickson of Fordwich,
and I give unto my son Richard all the Ready money I shall have at my Death after my debts and funeral Charges shall be fully paid,
and I give unto my son Matthew all my wearing apparel Linnen and Woollen
and I do make him my said son Matthew Executor of this my last will and Testament
in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this third day of March Anno Domini 1736

August the 5th 1737 before the Reverend James Kenstridge Clerk Surrogate etc in the Presence of me Mart: Upton Notary Public
The will of John Woodruff late of Deal deceased was proved and Administration of the said deceased goods so far as concern the said
Deceased and his will was committed to Matthew Woodruff son of the deceased and sole Executor named in the said Will he being first
sworn duly to Administer the same.
