First I do give and devise unto my wife Judith Woodward all that my messuage or tenement with the Barn, Stable Outhouses building
orchard garden yard and land thereto belonging and thereto now used containing by estimate 3 acres more or less with their appurtenances
situate lying or being in the parish of Staple aforesaid in the county of Kent late in the occupation of my uncle Leonard deceased
and now in my own occupation.
The said messuages or tenement lands to have and to hold and every part with their appurtenances unto mu said wife Judith Woodword and her
assignees for and during the term of her natural life she keeping the same in good and tenantable repair and committing no manner of waste
And from and immediately after the decease or other sooner determination of that estate and subject thereunto I give and devise the same messuages or Tenement land Hereditments and premises and every part of their appurtenances unto my two sons John Woodward and Richard Woodward equally to be divided between them as tenants in common and not as joint tenants and to their several heirs and assignees forever.
I give and devise unto my two sons John Woodward and Richard Woodward and to my daughter Elizabeth Woodward spinster the sum of 50 pounds apiece of lawful money of Great Britain to every of them to be paid unto them respectively with 12 calendar months after my decease.
I give and bequeath the use of all my plate china household linen and all my other household goods Furniture and also all my County Grain Horses Cows Hogs and utensils of husbandry that shall be and remain in and about the messuage land and premises wherein I now dwell or used herewith at the time of my death unto my said wife Judith Woodward for and during the term of her natural life.
And from and immediately after the decease of my said wife then I give and bequeath the same premises unto my said daughter Elizabeth Woodward and to her executors, administrators and assignees.
As for all the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate whatsoever whosoever and whereof I have power to dispose after payment of all my just debts funeral expenses and the charges of proving and executing this my will I do give and bequeath the same and every part thereof to my said wife Judith Woodward to and for her own proper use and benefit.
And I do hereby make ordain and appoint my said wife Judith Woodward and my brother William Woodward the executors of this my last
will and testament.
And lastly I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made...
In Witness whereof I the said John Woodward have to the first sheet of this my last will contained in two sheets of paper affixed together
to my hand and to the second and last sheets .......seal the day and year first above written.
