Item I will and direct that all my just debts funeral legacies and pecuniary legacies hereinafter devised shall be fully paid and discharged out of my ready money debts due to me Stock cattle household goods and other my personal Estate not herein after particularly devised or bequeathed
Item I do desire and direct that an Inventory be taken and praisement made of all my stock cattle and my personal Estate goods and chattles whatsoever which I may leave at the time of my decease and all such stock cattle goods and other chattles together with the Lease of the Farme in which I now dwell (if there be any such Lease at the time of my decease) be disposed of and sold and debts due to me collected and got in by my said Executrix as soon as can be done after my decease that she may thereby be nabled to pay the several legacies hereinafter given devised or bequeathed
Item I give and bequeath unto Abraham Tilghman of Frinsted in the County of Kent Esq. and Richard
Laurence of Frinsted aforesaid Clerk the sum of One hundred pounds to be paid out of my said personal
Estate by my said Executrix in twelve months next after my decease in trust for my Eldest son Thomas Woollett
and it is my Will that the said trustees do place out the said sum of one hundred pounds at interest and
pay the money arising from such interest unto my said Executrix for and toward the maintenance and
education of the said Thomas and my other children until my said son Thomas shall attain unto the age
of one and twenty years at which age it is my Will that the said one hundred pounds be paid unto my
said son Thomas Woollett by my said Trustees
Item I give and bequeath unto my said Trustees Abraham Tilghman and Richard Laurence the farther
sum of one hundred pounds to be paid by my said Executrix in twelve months after my decease in trust
for my son Robert Wollett
and it is my Will that the said Trustees do place out the said sum of one
hundred pounds at interest and pay the money arising from such interest unto my said Executrix for and
towards the maintaining and educating of the said Robert and my other children untill my said son
Robert shall attain unto the age of one and twenty years at which age it is my Will that the said one
hundred pounds be paid unto my said son Robert Woollett by my said Trustees
Item I give and bequeath unto my said Trustees Abraham Tilghman and Richard Laurence the further
sum of one hundred pounds to be paid by my said Executrix in Twelve Months next after my decease in
Trust for my son William Woollett
and it is my Will that the said trustees do place out the said sum of
one hundred pounds at interest and pay the money arising from such interest unto my said Executrix for
and towards the maintenance and education of the said William and my other children untill my said
son William shall attain unto the age of one and twenty years at which age it is my Will that the said one
hundred pounds be paid unto my said son William Woollett by my said Trustees
Item I give and bequeath unto my said Trustees Abra�m Tilghman and Richard Laurence the further sum
of one hundred pounds to be paid by said Executrix in twelve months after my decease in trust for my
son Richard Woollett
and it is my Will that the s�d Trustees do place out the said sum of one hundred
pounds at interest and pay the money arising from such interest unto my said Executrix for and toward
the maintenance and education of the said Richard and my other children untill my said son Richard
shall attain unto the age of one and twenty years at which age it is my Will that the said one hundred
pounds be paid unto my said son Richard Woollett by my said Trustees
Item is my Will that in case any of my said sons Thomas Robert Will�m or Richard should happen to die
before attaining unto the age of one and twenty years the sum of one hundred pounds above
bequeathed unto the son so happening to die shall be divided equally between the survivors of my said
sons when they shall attain to the age of one and twenty years as aforesaid
[if all sons die?] then is my Will that the said several sums above bequeathed to my said sons be equally divided
between my three daughters Jane Elizabeth and Mary and that such dividend or share be paid to each of
them when he shall attain the age of one and twenty years and that the share of him or her so dying
before such age be paid unto the age survivor or survivors of them equally
Item it is my Will that if it shall happen that all my sons and daughters above named do die before any of them shall attain unto the age of one and twenty years in such case I do give and bequeath the sum of three hundred pounds (part of the four several sums above bequeathed unto my said sons) unto my beloved Wife Ann Woollett to be paid her by my said Trustees within six months next after the decease of the last of my daughters dying within the age of one and twenty years as aforesaid together with such interest as may be due thereon
Item I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred pounds (being the remaining part of the money given to my said sons) in case of such failure of my said sons and daughters within age as aforesaid to Thomas Ellis son of my sister Mary Ellis to be paid him by my Trustees within six months after the decease of my wife Ann Woollett to whom it is my Will that my said Trustees do pay such Interest as may arise from the said one hundred pounds so long as she shall live after the failure of my said daughter above mentioned
Item I give and [bequeath] unto my son Thomas Woollett my silver Tankard marked TIS
Item I give and bequeath to my son Robert Woollett my silver pit mug and one silver spoon marked TSW
Item I give to my son Robert Woollett six silver spoons marked RAW
Item I give to my daughter Elizabeth Woollett my least pair of silver salts and one silver spoon marked TMW
Item I give to my son William Woollett my largest silver punch ladle and one china punch bowl
Item I give to my daughter Mary Woollett one silver sugar caster and one silver spoon marked MF
Item it is my Will that the said Abraham Tilghman and Richard Laurence my Trustees above named do
reimburse and pay themselves all such charges and expences as they or either of them shall or may
sustain or be put unto on account of the several Trusts aforesaid and is my Will that the said Trustees
shall not be obliged to make good any loss that may happen by happing putting out the said Trust
manies to Interest as aforesaid but that such loss (if any) be equally by all the sons or daughters within
age and unpaid who shall have right to the said Trust monies
And it is also my Will that whither [neither?] of my Trustees shall be accountable for any sum or sums of
money but such only as shall be received by each of them respectively on account of the said Trust
Item the better to enable my said annuity beloved wife to bring up maintain and educate my said sons and daughters out of the remainder of my personal Estate after all my just debts funeral expences and legacies be fully paid and satisfied all other my goods effects chattles and personal Estate whatsoever and all my ready money plate household stuff linnen and wearing apparell that I shall be possessed of at the time of my death and not herein before given or bequeathed I give devise and bequeath unto my said beloved wife Ann Woollett whom I do hereby make constitute and appoint Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me heretofore made
In Witness whereof I have to this my last Whereof[?] contained in three sheets of paper set my hand at
the top and bottom of the two first sheets and to the top of the last sheet and my hand and seal at the

who have hereunto subscribed our names in the presence of the said Testator

In the Name of God Amen I Robert Woollett the day and year first within written do make this codicil to my last Will and � within written that is to say, it is my Will and I do hereby direct that if it shall be thought proper by my said beloved wife Ann Woollett that any sum of money not exceeding twenty pounds be given with any of my said sons as an apprentice to any trade or business in such case it shall and may be lawfull for my within named trustees to pay such sum or sums not exceeding twenty pounds as aforesaid and to deduct the same out of the respective legacies by my within written Will to such son or sons given or bequeathed when they shall attain unto the age of one and twenty years and it is that this deduction shall be made on account of money given with him or them as apprentice only and not for maintenance board or education (which is within directed) to be supplied out of the remainder of my personal Estate

The before registered Will of Robt Woollett deceased was proved the 16 day of April 1740 before the Rev�d Worship: George Lee Doctor of Laws Official general to the Rev�d the Archd: of Cant: lawfully cons: by the oath of Anne Woollett relict of the dec�d and sole Executrix named in the said Will to whom Adm�on of the goods chattles and credits of the said dec�d was committed she being first sworn well and truly to perform the same.
