Will of Joseph Woolley

of Ashford, Kent

I give and bequeath unto my nephews Paul Woolley, Robert Woolley, Stephen Woolley
and unto William Woolley (son of my nephew John Woolley deceased)
and to my neices Margaret the wife of Robert Mercer, Martha the wife of Solomon Brice, Ann the wife of Thomas Wraight, Elizabeth Woolley and Sarah the wife of James Parker
the sum of five pounds apiece of lawful Money of Great Britain
All which said legacies my will and mind is shall be paid by my Executrix within twelve calendar months next after my decease.

And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my goods chattels and personal estate of what nature or kind soever after payment of my just debts Funeral Expences the charges of proving this my Will and other incident charges thereout I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my said wife Sarah Woolley to and for her own use and benefit

And lastly I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set and put my hand and seal this Twenty seventh day of April in the Twenty third year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith &c. And in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty three � Joseph Woolley his mark � Signed Sealed Published and declared by the said Joseph Woolley the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other subscribed our names as Witnesses

April 3rd 1784 Sarah Woolley widow the sole Executrix herein named was sworn to the truth and faithful performance hereof and as usual and that the deceased�s effects will not amount to �600.
