To be buried in the churchyard of Harrietsham
Item: to the poor of Harrietsham 14 shillings and 4 pence at the day of my
burial, further my wife and my executor shall appoint some sufficient and
learned man to make and declare one sermon at the time of my burial and for his pains 5 shillings.
Item: to Marion my wife all my household stuff or moveable goods within my
house at the time of my decease, also one cow which shall be of her own choice.
Item: to George Tassell my Godson 10 shillings.
Item: to Thomas Allen my Godson 10 shillings.
Item: to the children of Thomas and William Allen 5 shillings and 8 pence each.
The residue to Robert Tassell my son in law whom I appoint as my executor.
Item: My wife Marion to have her dwelling in my mansion house in the loft above the hall and the use of two other chambers, one called the apple loft and one the barn loft with free liberty to go and come in to the kitchen or other place for her baking and brewing.
Also the said Robert Tassell to give sufficient wood or fuel as shall meet during her natural life and he shall keep the cow on the land and she to have �5 yearly out of my tenements.
Item: To John Steede my son in law �60 and 6 shillings.
Item: To Thomas Allen my son in law �60 and 6 shillings.
Item: To William Allen my son in law �60 and 6 shillings.
Item: To Margaret Wilmote my daughter �120.
All to be paid within 1 year of my decease by Robert Tasell my son in law.
All my lands in Harrrietsham and Hollingbourne to Robert Tassell.
