And I give devise and bequeath my two messuages or tenements with the yards gardens and appurtenances thereunto belonging and adjoining the Wharf and premises now in the occupation of William Woodhams and situate and being on the Common in the Parish of Saint Nicolas in the said County And purchased (with the other two messuages adjoining thereto) by my late Husband of Her Majesty�s Commissioners of Woods and Forests and now in the occupation of ___ Albonry and William Crooks respectively unto my Brother Samuel Stronghill and his assigns for and during the term of his natural life
And after his decease I give devise and bequeath the same unto my three Nephews Samuel Stronhgill Nathaniel Stronghill and Charles Stronghill Sons of my said Brother and to their heirs and assigns for ever as tenants in common
And the remaining two messuages or tenements (adjoining the two before mentioned with the yards gardens and appurtenances) I give devise and bequeath to my Nephew George Anderson of Stepney in the County of Middlesex and to his heirs and assigns for ever
And I give and bequeath all those my two leasehold messuages with the yards gardens and appurtenances thereunto belonging situate
in John Street aforesaid one whereof is now in my own occupation and the other in the occupation of Joseph Davis
unto my said Nephews Samuel Stronhgill Nathaniel Stronghill and Charles Stronghill their executors administrators and
assigns for all the estate and interest therein at the time of my decease Upon Trust that they my said Nephews or the survivor
or survivors of them or the executors or administrators of such survivor Upon Trust to sell and dispose of the same as soon
after my decease as conveniently may be in such way and manner as they in their discretion may deem most advisable
for the benefit of my estate & either by public auction or private contract
And the monies arising therefrom And that the receipt of my said Nephews or the survivor or survivors of
them or the executors or administrators of such survivor shall effectually discharge the person or persons to whom then same
shall be given his her or their executors administrators and assigns from all liability in respect of the Application of the
monies therein respectively expressed to be received
And the monies arising therefrom after payment of the costs charges and expences attending such sale I direct to be divided between and amongst my said Brother Samuel Stronghill my Sisters Ann Wilmshurst and Sophia Darnell and James Anderson a Son of the said George Anderson
And I give and bequeath unto my Niece Susan Filmer my gold watch with the seals and appendages thereto belonging my mourning brooch
and ring also her portrait and that of my late Husband
Also I give to my Nieces Ann Hystead Philadelphia Anderson Rebecca Bernard and Sophia Dow the remainder of my rings brooches
earrings and other articles of jewelry to be equally divided between them
Also I give to my said Nephew Charles Stronghill my silver snuff box
Also I give to my said Sister Sophia Darnell and Niece Sophia Dow all my wearing apparel to be divided equally between them
Also I give all my linen and plate of what kind soever (except a counterpane and two table spoons which
I hereby give to the said Sophia Dow) unto my said Brother Samuel Stronghill and my Sister Ann Wilmshurst to be equally
divided between them my Brother taking the silver milk pot in his share
also I give unto my said Nephews Samuel Stronhgill Nathaniel Stronghill and Charles Stronghill all my household
goods furniture and effects of what description soever china glass and books in and about my dwellinghouse to be equally
divided my Nephew Nathaniel Stronghill taking the sofa in his part and as a portion of his share
And I desire my Nephews not to sell or dispose of any part of such furniture
And I also desire that the said George Anderson direct that after his decease the said gold watch chain and seals which I lately
gave to him be given to his said Son James Anderson which request I made to him at the time I gave him same
And I gave and bequeath unto my said Niece Sophia Dow the legacy or sum of nineteen guineas
and to Mary the Wife of Eastman Gill the legacy or sum of five guineas also a suit of mourning if she will be with me at
the time of my decease
And as to all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my real and personal Estate of what description soever I may be possessed of or entitled unto after payment of the aforesaid legacies and my just debts (And with such payment I hereby charge my personal estate) I give devise and bequeath the same unto my said Brother Samuel Stronghill his heirs executors administrators and assigns
And lastly I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Brother Samuel Stronghill And Charles Stronghill and Samuel Stronghill my said Nephews Executors of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me made And declaring this to be my last
In witness whereof I the said Rebecca Young the Testatrix have to this my last Will and Testament contained in one sheet of paper set and
subscribed my name at the foot or end thereof this twenty seventh day of February in the Year of our Lord one thousand
