I Gerhardt Zimmerman of the Parish or East Greenwich in the County of Kent Sugar Refiner being infirm in Body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding considering the frailty and uncertainty of human life do for avoiding of Controversies which may otherwise happen after my decease make publish and declare my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) after Payment of all my just debts and Funeral Expences

I give and bequeath unto my loving Wife Mary Zimmerman the Sum of three hundred Pounds and also all such Household Furniture Plate Linnen and China I shall be possessed of at the time of my decease to hold the same unto the said Mary Zimmerman her Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever and to and for her and their proper use and benefit

and as to all the rest residue and remainder of my Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of whatever nature or kind the same doth shall or may consist of at the time of my decease in possession reversion remainder or Expectancy I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto William Goodhew of the Parish of Saint Paul Deptford in the said County of Kent Distiller and William Sloman of the same Parish Sugar Refiner to hold the same unto the said William Goodhew and William Sloman and the Survivor of them the Executors and Admors of Such Survivor Upon Trust
nevertheless and to the intent and purpose that they my said Trustees and the Survivor of them do and shall as soon as Conveniently may be after my decease collect and get in the Debts and Money due to me and sell and dispose of all other my Estate and Effects not hereinbefore given and bequeathed for the best price that can be gotten for the same and the Monies arising therefrom together with the said Debts and Monies due to me as the same shall be respectively received to lay out and invest in some Public Stock or Fund or on Security of some Freehold Estate of Inheritance in Fee simple and the same to call in sell out and reinvest from time to time as to them or the Survivor or the Executors and Administrators of Such Survivor shall seem meet and by and out of the Interest dividends and produce thereof upon Trust

to pay One Annuity or Yearly Sum of Fifteen Pounds to my said Wife Mary Zimmerman during the term of her natural life to and for her own sole seperate peculiar and personal use and benefit
and as to all the rest residue and remainder of the said Interest dividends and produce upon Trust to pay apply and dispose of the same to my said Wife Mary Zimmerman to enable her to maintain educate and bring up all and every of my Children until the Youngest shall attain the Age of Twenty One Years or being a Girl then day of Marriage which shall first happen

and I do hereby declare my mind and will to be that all and every the receipt and receipts of my said Wife Mary Zimmerman alone for the Interest dividends and produce of the residue of my said Estate as aforesaid shall be good and sufficient discharge and discharges for the same and that my said Trustees shall not be answerable for the Application of the same by her
and in case my said Wife shall depart this life before my said Youngest Child shall attain the Age of Twenty One Years or being a Girl her day of Marriage then that they my said Trustees and the Survivor of them do and shall apply and dispose of so much of the Interest dividends and produce of the residue of my said Estate and Effects as may in their discretion be necessary for the Educating and bringing up of all my said Children until the Youngest shall attain the Age of Twenty One Years or being a Girl her day of Marriage as aforesaid
and from and immediately after my said Youngest Child shall attain the Age of Twenty One Years or being a Girl her day of Marriage than upon Trust to pay and divide all the said principal and the Interest and produce then due and all other my said Estate and Effects whatsoever after retaining a Sufficient Principal Sum to answer and pay the said Annuity of Fifteen Pounds to my said Wife in case she shall be then living and such Sum so retained after the decease of my said Wife unto and amongst all and every my said Children share and share alike if more than one living and if only one then the whole to that one only
and I do hereby direct and order that in case any of my said Children shall depart this life leaving lawful Issue then that such Issue shall have and take such distributive share as their respective Father or Mother would have been intitled to under this my Will if then living

and I do hereby appoint the said William Goodhew and William Sloman Executors of this my Will hereby revoking all former and other Will and Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this to be and contain my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Ninth day of July One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty three to the last sheet of this my Will contained on two Sheets of Paper and two the first Sheet my hand only and at the ... My Seal to the Tape at the joining Gerhardt Zimmerman
