Fenian-L is a place to find out about the Fenians and discover as much as possible about the Irishmen who joined the Brotherhood. William Smith O'Brien political leader of Young Ireland. Idealistic, he was forced to fight and did a poor job of it as his aristocratic upbringing and lack of military knowledge guaranteed defeat. He ended up in exile in Australia. |
