  1. Research of James. D. Transue from searches of records in Germany. However, this date does not seem certain.
  2. Burgert, Annette Kunselman Palatine Origins of Some Pennsylvania Pioneers AKB Publications, 2000 pp. 349-50. Place of burial is not certain. Some indicate probable burial in "Chestnut Hill Church."
  3. Abraham applied for a warrant for 150 acres of land in Salisbury Twp. in 1738. The land was along Route 309 between Allentown and Quakertown on top of Lehigh Mountain.
  4. Passenger list of the Thistle of Glasgow lists "Abraham Trentsols" "Anna Margaretha (Mller)" coming from "Mutterstadt, Bayern (Pfalz)" "Mongomery & Lehigh Co. PA". It also lists two children, "Anna Katharina, 8" and "Johann Philipp, 5". It is inconsistent with the other source that Issac is not listed on the passenger list.
  5. I found the following source listed at pa-roots.org: "Abraham Transu; wife (1) Elisabeth MUSCHLER (2) Anna Margaretha MUELLER. Arr. 1730; lived Bucks and Lehigh Cos., Pa.
