I picked up the following book at a book sale for a dollar: Ball, J. Elrington. "The Judges in Ireland", 1221-1921, Vol. II. NewYork: E.P. Dutton & Co., 1927.

Mostly it is about the makeup of the Judiciary in Ireland over the years. However, I bought it because it had biographies of the various judges. I am listing below the names of any judges who were from Co. Cork.

1. John Philpot Curran, b.1750, New Market, Cork
2. Joseph Devonsher Jackson, b. 1783, Cork

The biographical material mainly consists of the names of parents, educational bg and degrees, legal experience, etc. These were all well-educated men coming from well-to-do families. If any of these people mean anything to someone on the list, please contact me and I will give you the rest of the listing.

PS. If you know you have a judge among your ancestors from another county, send me the name and I will see if it is listed.
