                    After the death of his mother in 1748, Gerardus, along with twin sister Petronella,
                    was named guardian for his younger siblings.

                    Gerardus and his family lived on Kleine Kerkstraat, "Little Church Street"
                    in Venlo.

                    In October of 1788, Geradus' wife, Catharina, died leaving him to raise his
                    children alone.
