Catherine D. Coffin

I, Sally Coffin of Newport, Herkimer County, and state of New York, being of sound mind and memory, do make, ordain, publish, and declare this to be my last will and testament, that is to say:

First, after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, I give, devise, and bequeath to Emily Higgins, Seline Stillman, Ezra Stillman and Flora Payne (being the children of my sister Lydia Stillman) all my clothing and householding furniture of whatsoever kind or nature such as beds, bedding, bedsteaks, table, chairs, stoves & pipe, crockery, etc etc to be divided between them as equally as possible.

Second, I give and bequeath to my niece Emily Higgins my gold watch and chain.

Third, I give and bequeath to each of the children of my two half brothers who may be living at the time of my decease (being the children of Ambrose Rogers and the children of Alonzo Rogers) one hundred dollars.

Fourth, I give, devise and bequeath the balance of my estate of whatsoever kind or nature to Emily Higgins, Adeline Stillman, Ezra Stillman and Flora Payne (they being the children of my sister Lydia Stillman) and Carrie Harris the same to be divided between them share and share alike and in case either of them being dead at the time of the distribution of my estate I give their respective share to their heirs.

I request this will shall be opened and proved and the property divided as soon after my decease as may be according to law.

Likewise, I make, constitute and appoint my friend john G. Barry of Newport, N.Y. to be executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the 7th day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.
