Book 258, p. 335

Whereas John M. Brown and Jane his wife, Nelson B. Rowley and Abigail his wife, Algernon Farr and Adelia his wife, and Chauncy Eddy and Orisa his wife did, on the 17th day of January, 1856, in consideration of the conveyance to the said Jane, Abigail, Adelia and Orisa by the undersigned, of all that certain farm situate in the town of Deerfield, in the County of Oneida, known as the John Coffin farm made, executed, and delivered to me a certain instrument in writing under and by virtue of which a lien was created and declared to exist in my favor upon said farm for my support and maintenance during the time of my natural life.

Now therefore know all men by these presents that I, Nancy Coffin, to whom said instrument in writing was executed, and in whose favor the lien aforesaid was created, do hereby and for and in consideration of one dollar to me paid by Chauncy Eddy forever release, discharge, and quit claim to said Eddy all right, title, lien, claim, or demand which I have in and to or upon said farm or the products thereof, and in or to the use or occupancy of the dwelling thereon, or of any part thereof under and by virtue of the aforesaid agreement executed to me as herein before recited. In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this 5th day of March, 1863.

Nancy Coffin, S.S.

On this 9th day of March in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty three before me the subscriber personally appeared Nancy Coffin, to me known to be the same person described in and who executed the within instrument and who acknowledged that she executed the same.
