Quakers who located on the "western waters" from North Carolina remained under the jurisdiction of New Garden Monthly Meeting in Guilford County, North Carolina until the establishment of Lost Creek Monthly Meeting on the 20th day of the 5th month 1797. Abraham Woodward and Sarah Millikan Mills were appointed clerks of the Men's and Women's Meetings respectively on that date. For more on Lost Creek Monthly Meeting see Quaker Meetings.
