Brøderbund WFT Vol. 5, Ed. 1, Tree #2776: "William Farrar II
patented 2,000 acres of land in Henrico County, Virginia, known
as "Farrar's Island," on June 11, 1637. He represented Henrico
County as a Burgess from 1659 - 1661, 1675, and 1676. His wife's
name is not known, but his will dated May 5, 1676 and probated
in Henrico County at February Court, 1677-1678, names one son,
William Farrar. His father was given the land for bringing
immigrants to the country from England. (Comer and Howard
