William PARLER was born about 1736 in ?. He died before 1790 in South Carolina. William and his three brothers can be found in Virginia in the early 1700's. About 1760 Shadrach and William removed to South Carolina, where they both fought for the American Revolution. William fought with Gen. Francis "The Swamp Fox" MARION, and his name can be found on the list
of Marion's Men. William was granted land in Orangeburgh, S.C. in 1788.


There are probably more children than the two known sons. He was married in ?.

William's Brothers are Shadrach Parler 1728-1785> James Parler > Meshek Parler d. Apr 1750 Lancaster Co. VA.


John PARLER I in Union Co., S.C. Probate Court Index 1783-1791 John PARLOR (not found in Bk. A-H). Also listed was Luzean, Luzeal, Lusion PARLOR (who is mentioned in the military records of Shadrach PARLER).
Children were as follows:


John Parler II, born 1775 in Orangeburg, Orangeburg Co., South Carolina. He married Elizabeth (Littell) Parler.


John PARLER There may be other children. Land grant 29 Feb. 1788 S.C. John PARLER, Leonard RAST and John HOFFMAN, being Protestant petitioned to the Church of England for land, which was granted Feb. 29, 1788. They were given 150-300 acres each.


Elizabeth LITTELL Parler was living with James Aquilla PARLER in 1860 Census. "SHULER Family History" p.67 #83.


Notes for Shadrach PARLER Shadrach served in the Revolutionary War alternately under Capts. Joshua PALMER, Benjamin JOLLY and Col. BRANDON, during 1779, 1780, 1781 . He was taken prisoner and died while in confinement; A.A. 5703;X24 07; X3062; Annuitants Claims. "Paid to James MARTIN all the Claims belonging to Shadrich PARLER, deceased, against the State of South Carolina for services done in Col. BRANDON Reg. of Mil.Value Reserves this 18th day of November 1790." signed by mark of Luzian PARLER. Susannah PARLER was paid 8:15, as widow of Shadrach, held prisoner by the enemy and died in confinement. Shadrick PARLER unrecorded plat for land not granted, 200 acres on Little Browns Creek, Broad River, Craven Co., surveyed by Wm. GIST Nov. 26, 1771 #0009 018 0004 00976 00; S.C.

"Robinson Index", Vol. XVIII-No. 17, Thursday Oct 21, 1909. Page 1 ,Col. 3. "Mrs. Margaret J. Kelley died in her home in Robinson at noon yesterday. A year ago she suffered a paraletic stroke and at the time she came near dying, but recovered, though she has been almost helpless ever since having to be wheeled about in an invalid's chair. A week ago she suffered a second stroke and did not regain consciousness before her death. Margaret Turk was born in Adadir county ,Kentucky, November 1, 1835 and was in her 74th year. August 22, 1856 she was married to Philip Kelley in Missouri. They removed to this county in 1861, and up to just a few years ago "Grandma" Kelley made her home on the old homestead a mile and a half northwest of town. Mr. Kelley died in 1888. She leaves to mourn her death four sons and three daughters: A.A. Kelley, B.K. Kelley of Robinson, P.M. Kelley of Hiawatha, Jay Kelley of Ordway, Colorado, Mrs. S.T. Parker of Robinson, Mrs. Ella Truex of Wichita and Mrs. Laura Work of Ottawa. One son, George, died two years ago. She leaves five brothers and one sister. The funeral will take place at the Methodist church at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning and interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery...."
